he scored like 20 +pts this half.

the refs gave him 3 cheapies and took him out in the 1 half.

That’s true...but the first point is also correct. Wiggs plays loose and hits shots easy when we are pretty much already losing the game. He should be getting us ahead instead.

No need to pretend like the entire state of Minnesota hasn’t made it clear that Rubio is basically more important to wolves than the current roster excluding Kat.... guys have twitter/ig and read their mentions. So jimmy knows the deal....

2 things to say

1. Teagues truck on Rubio was a reaction to all the hate he’s received all season. He clearly wanted a win tonight and clearly wanted to kick rubios a$$ on offense. The jazz got like 90% of their calls at the rim and Teague wanted his foul before the truck. With that said it wasn’t more than a 50-50 call. The ref was fine in not calling it, but I’m sure in teagues mind it should have been a foul. And then all his twitter and IG mentions crosses his mind and he has a moment. Atleast he went out with some fire.

2. This is a great moment for all Minnesota fans. I think all year it’s been pretty clear the fans have been split down the middle. The new era (push for playoffs. Thibs. Teague. Jimmy) and the old era (tank. Zach. Ricky. Saunders). This should really force people to be more open about what side they are. Jimmy on twitter said to Jae crowder “get away from MY coach” and someone said Rubio is more Minnesota then jimmy. So I guess the question now is what side are you on? Hopefully this will encourage fans to be MORE FANS of this team and less fans of the previous era.

I’m glad it went down this way. Wanted a win but losing Kat was a tough strike. Time to fight and lock up a playoff spot. How the team responds to tonight’s game will tell us a lot about everyone’s character. Kat and Wiggins especially.

I love it. If that is the worst cheap shot we can take we are in a good spot.

I still blame Glen Taylor. 13 Year’s of losing, and worse beforehand. KG was the ONLY player to ever do anything here and he left pissed too. Taylor owns this both literally and figuratively. He’s the only true person to call out for decades of terrible play. Truly a pathetic owner.

Please anyone disagree, I’d love to hear how it’s anyone but him.

Agree big time. From McHale to Kahn. To his handling of every unhappy star. To his penny pinching when we were losing. To me he is the old rich guy who thinks because he made money in his business he can apply that to any other profession. Sprinkle on some nonsense about creating a family atmosphere while you piss off everybody who walks out the door

Yea I don't know what it is but Jimmy really seems to have an issue with Rubio. I kind of feel like its a thing where Thibs doesn't care for Rubio and for some reason the players want to bash him for it or something. Doesn't rub me the right way as I still love Rubio and what he meant to this team. There seems to be some strange animosity there though and I don't know why.

I get the idea of knocking the other team on their ass but it being Rubio, and Rubio being one of the least offending players ( I think its different if someone is styling on your ass or clowning you, like say, what Harden did to Wesley Johnson and then knocking Harden on his ass), so it seemed out of nowhere. If Rubio was the guy lighting us up and making a mockery out of us, I might feel better about the dirty hit but here it just seemed uncalled for.

Again this isn't the game to be on Wiggins, we were +6 with Wigs on court only Wolves player who was a positive vs Utah.

I still don't get what is the problem of Jimmy against Rubio... The first game against Utah in Minnesota was the same thing...
What is the problem of Rubio being beloved by Wolves fans?

Outside of Jimmy and Crawford (looks like, with Teague as well) I see Ricky getting along with Tyus, Wiggs, Belly, even some staff, i really don't see the need for this BS.

Geez, Rubio is a fine player but he's not even a star, let's please not overreact, unless some players are such divas that can't handle the "love" Wolves fans still have for Ricky.

1. Nothing is wrong with being loved by Wolves fans, the extremes are the problem.

2. Those are his former teammates, vs people he likely flopped against.

And honestly, for a guy who's supposed to be promoting leadership, acting like a dick on twitter doesn't help. Thanks Jimmy.

You can’t see why a current player on the wolves would be fed up by the fact that fans have more love for a guy who’s not even on the team any more (and isn’t measurably better than his replacements) and has to be constantly reminded about it?

This is the problem. Wolves fans siding with Rubio over Butler and Teague because of a “cheap” shot.

So you want our current players to have no class? Got it.

And you know what? Ricky is more Minnesota than Jimmy. 6 seasons > 1/2 of one.

I'll ride with Jimmy Butler any day of the week. He's given me more hope as a Wolves fan than any player since KG.

And now Thibs!! We have 2 #1 overall draft picks, one an all star. Another all star g-f. A former allstar pg and a fabulous pf that anybody would be happy to have. We have a really nice young backup PG. Two decent bigs in Bjelly and Dieng plus a shooter in Crawford. We have lost 13 of 15 on the road since the beginning of the year with all of our talent! If you can't win on the road with this talent you're a horse bleep coach. Any other coach in the game would be an improvement.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
