He and Booker will be one of the best duos in the league soon. Jordan and Pippen lite ;)

But when he has the ball he looks like a Paul George, T-Mac lite.... could burn many of his defenders on his way to the ring... or he can dish off the shooters or cutters, this man is a ROOKIE!

I see a STAR by his 3rd or even 2nd season :-)

He reminds me of Latrell Sprewell.
I said it before, but the more I watch him the more I see it.

Sprewell was a terrific two-way wing.

Hopefully his ceiling is even higher...not an easy task.

I like Sprewell but Jackson is much longer, Spree is 6'5, Jackson looks 6'8 ~ 6'9
Both have wiry bodiesand more towards the slender build than the wide strong build, athletically both are similar. But Jackson's physical profile combined with his skill set makes him closer to the T-Mac/Paul George types.

Mind you, they're all similar in abilities... just body types and mentality varies them.
All are super athletic, wiry, slithery, can dribble, can pass, can create their own shots... dynamic slashers and penetrators WITH the ball.

That’s a really good comp!

I was trying to think of a good comp, because I didn't think Marion was all that good of one (or Pippen or Kawhi). Sprewell is about the best I've heard, though Jackson will be better defensively. Probably a lot better. He is dynamic just like him though and offensively it's a GREAT comp. He will also be a better rebounder

Sprewell's career stats were over 18/4/4 with 1.4 steals, but at his peak, he averaged over 24 ppg and 6.3 apg. Jackson will be better on the defensive end and rebounding, so he has a great chance of being quite a bit better but they look very similar offensively.

Saw this on APBR and thought it was solid improvement.

Sprewell is a pretty good comparison.
I've heard Alan houston as a booker comparison in the past.
We draft bamba this year who could be camby defensively.
We are the late 90's knicks.

Obviously the percentages still don't look good, but still a VAST improvement. But in the last 6 games, his %s probably look really good. He's REALLY turned the corner in the last handful of games, and seems to improve with each one.

Remembered seeing some posts on the trade board and hadn't really looked into it but yeah this really was a leap for a young guy. Hope he and Book keep up these improvements, he's killing it too.

Spoiler:
Though he's no Kaminsky

Just looking at 3 point percentages of some of his comparisons season by season until they made All-Star:

Jimmy Butler - 18%, 38%, 28%, 37%*
Andre Iguodala - 33%, 35%, 31%, 32%, 30%, 31%, 33%, 39%*
Shawn Marion - 18%, 25%, 39%, 38%*

So you can see improvement in 3 point shooting from their early season/s led to an All-Star berth, if Jackson can follow a similar path he has everything these guys have and maybe more.

I'm really encouraged with his FT shooting improvement already at around 70% in 2018 so hope it can be replicated with his outside jumper.

 I know me. That’s why and I’m so glad I haven’t tried to get my posting rights back to the GB, because I would be banned. Arguing with Sacdawg about Bogdan being better than JJ would have me banned from RealGM.....that’s just crazy! Lol!

I see a few similarities between Jackson and Sprewell but Spree was a heck of a lot more athletic and explosive and was pretty elite in far as finishing above the rim.

First game I watched in a while (busy year). Man Josh just looks completely different from the beginning of the season, it is truly shocking. I can actually see a future star in him now as long as that jump shot keeps improving and proving me wrong. If he stays on this trajectory we suddenly have two budding stars and are just one more guy away from turning this ship around

Man, I was this close to calling it quits on the Suns after Dudley and Chriss's bush league stuff. But thankfully we have Book and this guy Josh Jackson who just dropped 36.

Return to Phoenix Suns
