If you’re looking for something low maintenance, you should look into freelance transcription, easy way to make some side money. It’s very boring though.

you guys hear about Kevin Smith? while i think his movies aren't great, i think he's a great story teller, and he clearly doesn't give a **** about winning award (tusk). i grew up loving jay and silent bob, because i was (am still) an idiot.

but man, i'm glad to not have read how this really did take his life.

it was cool to see him lose a **** load of weight (being fat shamed on a plane, i believe), but i hope he changes his life so he can stick around. i find him very interesting in interviews and podcasts

OT: Is it weird to feel hurt after 2 dates?

Post#652 » by MP4LIFE » Sun Mar 4, 2018 7:57 pm

This is going to be a lame thread and probably reactionary so please don’t jump on me too much. I know I’ll sound like a loser.

I went on 2 dates with this girl and we had a great time. Second time was at her apartment and we had sex. We kept talking for days after and she wanted to see me again but today she dropped it on me that she doesn’t feel anything romantically and doesn’t want to hurt me. That’s fair - but is it weird that I feel hurt by being turned down after 2 dates? That’s not a long time. It’s like 2-3 weeks but I really liked this girl and feel like **** because apparently she didn’t have the same feelings back.

Am I a lame for having feelings for someone so quickly?

It's hard to control the primitive chemical reaction that is called "love" (or in these early stages "falling in love", "butterflies" etc.).

It's still better to be hurt like this, than the alternative and that is to be at a point where you seem incapable of having any true feelings towards anyone, even if they theoretically seem perfect for you. Trust me.

Not really. I mean - you've gotta be what? 30s? Late 20s at least. You know what you want.

Sounds like you're generally more interested in and ready for something longer term and she wasn't. That's too bad but something you can bring into your next sitch.

I'll just say she did you a favor. This would've hurt a lot more if done two months down the road.

Social media and dating apps turned a lot of women into thinking they have the full buffet at their disposal at all times thus never know what they want.

I’ve been super upset when things flake after a couple dates because as you get older, you know when you like and don’t like someone and don’t wanna waste the opportunity. It’s the worst man. Finding other girls are easy with online dating, but finding someone’s time you actually enjoy or isn’t flaky is rare.

At least you got communication back bro. The worst thing is you’ll be dating a girl a month, and out of no where she just stops responding to your texts. That’s the worst tbh.

Yeah it’s good that she said something. It isn’t weird at all and my first reaction is **** her, you’re better off.

its perfectly normal. were all human. there is no shame in feeling down about something you had your heart set on. but don't let it keep you down. everything happens for a reason, keep trying till you get it right.
There's something about an underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.
