Than why is he not a starter now? And Ross is still not back...and...Isaac is playing only 15min. Soon both on them will be on 30mins, so Mario goes back to 7 mins per game.

He was let go so Magic don't hit hard cap (same for Payton trade) and tax payments once Gordon signs his max and high draft pick gets his. Imagine luxary tay paying team next season....which wins 25 games

if there was a kernel of truth to this (that the offer is known, not just guessed), Sacramento would be getting a very large fine. As of right now, Mario is under contract with Orlando, so Sacramento cannot even talk publicly about giving him an offer.

and Sabonis was never a "Magic"

like it would be first under a table deal in nba... just like how Nike somehow knew where LEbron is going in April of 2014 so they bought land in Clevland where they later posted all " Hold on ,i'm going home" advertisements ;)

pretty much every buyout player knows where he will sign before he leaves.

you just saw Magic Johnson get a huge fine for talking about Giannis. And Nike could know and say what they want, they arent another NBA team

You are missing out how teams lure players. They don't do it directly but use connections. Mario and Vlade have simple connection- Stojaković .Stojaković was one who was giving Mario advices back in 2016 http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/orlando-magic/os-mario-hezonja-peja-stojakovic-0312-20160311-story.html

and here
http://www.nba.com/magic/news/hezonja-has-gotten-advice-family-friend-peja-stojakovic

Predrag is his family friend. Stojaković and Divac played together with Kings and are super close friends. Matter of fact Stojakovic was promoted- by Divac last summer .

So yea... it's kind a done deal and that's how NBA "under a table" always works. Again, you can't tell me that it's not fishy how player gets buyout and signs with new team in first day and reports and everybody already know where he is going. So he never talked with them ? come on, don't be naive.

To me it boils down to this, which player would you rather have than Mario? Whoever that is, that’s who you move.

To me, i’d rather make room for Mario than have Ross.

Saying we had to cut Mario because of the lux tax is just the easy way out. Management had a whole season to work on it.

that's an entirely different situation, if a player is under contract and the team is going to try and retain him and they hear he has been approached by another team they will file charges. if a story with any real legs breaks about a done deal they will file charges. I haven't seen this story but a croatian media story sounds like all the greek media ones we used to get every off season saying spanoulis was signing a big deal to start for X team every year.

and this , actual, reported, interest in trading for him, in times when Magic ( Vogel ) still didn't even play him

Interest in trading for 35% FG player who was flat out terrible in second year, and out of rotation on start of third.... That "interest" is more than Magic though of Mario when they declined his 4th year option.
I'm not saying it's a done deal, but it looks like other teams will simply offer more. And to be fair, why would he stay? He is bench player even today, on team that sucks and if Magic draft another big, his PT at PF will be zero.

I belive it's 95% chance that he leaves, other 5% is chance that he is masochist who enjoys being on bad team, without PT ,with coach who ignored him for year and half and prefered Afflallo and Speights over him just 3 months ago.

Now only question is - Kings or somebody else.

Interested is totally different, we know they wanted him at the draft, we know they tried to trade. Saying they have an under the table deal already worked out and it happens all the time is a totally different scenario....
