Probably a bit hopeful but I saw someone on Bulls reddit suggest Portis + Pels pick for Miles Turner. I think that's underrating his value personally, but perhaps if that Pels pick falls back in to fringe lottery range?

Probably still say no if I'm the Pacers but it was an interesting idea.

Where our pick is atm, wonder if they'd do Portis + Bulls pick for Turner

I doubt it. Turner is a stud. Not sure he's the best fit next to Lauri anyway.

I wonder if Wash would do our pick and Portis for Oubre?

I would not be touching our pick in a deal for Oubre. I think Portis and Oubre have fairly similar value, maybe Pels pick being the difference.

I think Oubre is a legit starter talent with allstar potential. I think Bobby is perceived as a role player with starter potential. I'd be thrilled if all it took was Pels pick, but doubtful.

Why not Dunn for turner srtraight?or maybe a pic swap with pel and their pick... it makes sense for both teams the Pacers have a very good young back up in Sabonis but no point guard for the future in since we’re going to be picking about 7 to 9 that opens up Collins and young where were they think the best point guard in the draft is

I disagree I think oubre will get a similar contract to Otto Porter I think Portis will get in the 8-11 range and I think Oubre is only a average starter he Average is about 28 minutes a game his FG percentage is pathetic and this is mostly from benchwork most people have better numbers coming off the bench because they get to go against bench players. I would stay away if any gm is thinking of paying close to what otto got... he is rfa so unless we could get a deal done early for around 10 I wouldn’t want oubre

Because Myles Turner is much better than Kris Dunn at basketball despite being 2 years younger.

They are both averaging about 13.5 points Dunn averages 2 stls turner 2 blks I do think Turner has more upside but I don’t know about much better as of today but maybe Dunn and the Pels pic? How far off is that do you think? because we’re headed to mediocrity next year which it kind of looks like to me at least we can do it with a lineup of young players at every position

They aren't trading Myles Turner. He's on track for a max.

I wasn’t aware of that...I like Dunn I just don’t believe he will be better than Sexton or young
Pacers clippers magic Knicks suns spurs jazz only teams without a franchise pg and out of all the players on those teams the only players I like are
Turner and warren... so if turner isn’t available how about warren? Dunn and Portis for warrick and a pic swap so we can move up a little in the draft?

Portis + Pels pick for Oubre Sounds fair. Oubre could look good in the Play Offs and higher his value.

The trade that makes a lot of sense to me is

Portis, Grant for Bayless, #19 (Philly's #1), #39

Philly gets an actual known quantity third big in Portis who can probably help their god awful non Embiid/Simmons minutes and the Grant/Bayless swap saves them six or so million in FA. They'd still have a first and two seconds to add to a roster with 13 rostered players.

Bulls would have (hopefully) three picks in the top 20 while resetting the money and years of Portis to a rookie deal. Bayless could have value as an expiring deal for trades come the deadline but at the very least he's a NBA veteran.

I tend to agree. I like Portis as the 6th man - but there's no point in keeping players that don't project as possible starters for the future. Philly on the other hand could benefit significantly from having Portis boosting the bench.

As for us, the more picks the merrier. Also with three 1st round picks, someone might be willing to trade quality for quantity.
From the basketball's perspective, travel is a nice pause from being pounded to the floor.

I'm sorry - I'm stuck on SF's:

Valentine + Portis + Pels pick for RHJ or Oubre. Or our pick if we can get Jalen Brown since Celts will get Hayward back.

I don't love this deal to be honest, as I'd be pushing to grab the Lakers pick off them:

Portis, Grant, N.O 1st (currently #21 but pick could improve, not likely to get any worse IMO) for Bayless, Lakers 1st (currently #11 or 12 IIRC).

That may be too slanted in our favour, however, I'd be looking to consolidate assets in any Portis deal. No need for a 3rd (and 4th) rookie next year, and those picks aren't moving the needle for any other deals - Portis is the most valuable asset in the deal. We also take on salary for the privilege so I'd have to pass on your original deal.
