The current conversation is not really about the thread title. I’m just curious what pacer fans think his value is. If he was a free agent this summer, what kind of pay day would he get? I don’t watch enough pacer games to know.
Well, if Aaron Gordon is a probable max player, then I would say Turner probably is too.
Turner's scoring has been down recently, but his rebounding has been up. Swings and roundabouts.
I don't think Turner has disappointed exactly. It's more that he was expected to become the featured scorer after the PG trade, and that never happened. Instead, he's 4th(!) on the team in shot attempts. His role is different, but that's ok because the Pacers have other scorers. He's been really key for the interior defense. His range and shooting% are also improving.
He's still really young though, so there's still various ways he can go. At minimum, he's a 3-and-D center already
