eh, as a fan of a team that has routinely drafted busts in the past, i say you trade that ass before it gets too late

I saw potential, but i dont get how Bender was hyped as top5 pick, where Isaiah Harteinstein is middle secondrounder. They basically the same prospect, i actually liked Hartenstein better.

After Mario Hezonja's turnaround i dont think it's fair to call any sophomore top 5 pick a bust so quickly

Drafted by Rockets, and plays for their G league team. Putting decent stats in 19 minutes per game, obviously a long way to go, but he showing flashes of legit passing, rebounding and efficient scoring at 7 feet tall.

Nobody is a bust until they’re 25 in my book. Especially 7’0 players who can shoot.

Not yet but just a wasted top draft pick. No wonder the suns are still the worst team after 5 years of tanking.

I watched Bender's pre-draft "highlight" clips, and there was nothing that caught my eye. Just a really tall guy taking jumpshots and scoring over shorter guys down low.

You mean he is in the states? I thought he was a draft and stash pick? Isn't he like 21 or so already?

if he didn't have a 3 pt shot he'd be out of the league. He looks so stiff out there.

He plays like he's afraid of contact - which just doesn't work for a big man in the NBA.

I'll give him one more season, should be doing more on this sun's team. Even then he definitely is not a star and will top out as a solid starter at best.

He’s 7 foot tall a top 5 pick and can’t rebound. Something is seriously amiss. Not a bust yet though, too young.

I don’t get the impression that Phoenix is able to develop their players properly.

Define bust when you're on one of the worst teams in the league you could argue the majority of their recent picks are under performing.
Jackson looks like possible bust potential along with Chriss over a system player like Bender playing in a poorly executing system.

He has good fundamentals but lacks strength more than anything right now so he really struggles scoring inside even against smaller players, if he added another 20 lbs he would be a good stretch 5 as he has shown good defensive awareness and passing.

Needs to get a lot more aggressive as well.

A bit too early to tell at this point in his career.
