•It sounds like Pitt AD Heather Lyke is moving quickly in her efforts to right the ship at Pitt. Lyke, who spent 15 years as a senior administrator at Ohio State has reportedly already reached out to former Buckeye and current Atlanta Hawks assistant Chris Jent. After wrapping up his professional playing career, Jent served two stints as an assistant at Ohio State, and has been an head coach in the NBA G-League.

Great find, kg!

Being an assistant here seems to be a springboard to bigger, better opportunities.

It's a good sign. Means we have a good eye for coaches. I prefer that to the Phil Jackson tree which is littered with dead limbs.

Unrelated to anything else we've discussed -- I really like this gif and celebrate the participants in the winter Paralympic games:

Saw some paralympic ski qualifying in person this year. It's truly mind blowing.

Kristen Wiig confirmed as a villain in Wonder Woman 2?!?

Don't know how it'll pan out, but I am intrigued.

I've been watching some of the classic movies in American cinema lately via Netflix (movies I had never seen before): Pulp Fiction, Shawshank Redemption, Goodfellas. I can absolutely see why these films are considered such masterpieces, all of them had my undivided attention throughout and were really well-done by Tarantino, Darabont and Scorsese.

Next on the list is The Godfather.

Beyond solid watching. Clear out a day and watch Godfather 1 and 2 then the Godfather Epic that recuts both 1 and 2 into one monster movie.

I just might take your advice on that one.

Summer of 1994 was quite possibly the best single span for movies.

Shawshank, Pulp Fiction, Lion King, Forrest Gump -- all classics that were released in a three or four month span.

Put a championship caliber product on the floor and they will. Every game at Phillips Arena was a party during the 60-win season.

The United has a clear championship window right now, and we all know how excited this city is to get bending a winner.

Even in AUTD's first season last year they had massive crowds for a first time team.

I'd argue that United was a contender right off the bat last season. Arthur Blank pumped a lot of money into that team right from the start, and even managed to bring in Barca's former coach.

Been too much of a football snob to ever support American soccer although it's certainly coming around. Friends are always inviting me to NYFC or whatever new team is added to the tri-state area and I've given them a Image

The matches I actually do like to attend are the international friendlies or CONCACAF over at MetLife Stadium which is like the largest pro stadium in the US yet it's a bloodbath to get even a single ticket to any event because there's about 15 million Mexicans that will always pack the place out. I got most of my Spanish language chants down though.

United is friggin exciting. Martinez and Almiron are special offensive talents that would get even a non-soccer fan excited.
