Nope.

It’s called money maker......Trae Young brings viewers, period. In!

Yup - I knew they'd make it purely b/c of views. Hopefully they flame out in the 1st round so we don't have to watch this dog & pony show anymore

Ya you think they thought about potential viewership with the potential Duke/OU matchup for the 2nd round? Haha.

Can't blame them though, what sounds like a more intriguing matchup for the 2nd round Duke/OU or Duke/OKST? I definitely think there were much more deserving teams to get in, but ya I can see why they did it for the ratings.

Or when they seeded AZ vs. UK in the round of 32

Haha yup. I give it to them though, I'm definitely going to watch both games (doubt OU gets out of the 1st round though).

Just on a completed side note. Virginia got screwed with their bracket. The #1 overall seed got a brutal bracket.

This is why One-and-done players should just go out of high school. Oklahoma wouldn’t have gotten the nod if they didn’t have Young on his team. Ridiculous. How they and UCLA get in before USC? USC is better than a lot of these teams.

The organizers must have hoped Trae will drop 50 or get a trip double just so they can hype some more

SC should have gotten in. SC gets football love so should get shafted in the tourney? Terrible post

I’m an LA fan, so I like both teams. USC is just a better team this year and recently they’ve looked really good. So has UCLA, but UCLA is just too young. They won’t get very far in the tournament. USC IMO had more of a chance to beat good teamsz

Well UCLA played UofA much better than SC the day before. And we just beat them.

Do you really think 6’0 16th ranked nationally Trae Young would declare for the draft out of HS?

Also, the amount of money he has made Oklahoma is probably substantial. Him being in the Tourney, especially if he goes on a hot streak, will become must see tv. That’s more money for the NCAA and colleges. I don’t think anyone is complaining about this except for bubble teams.

I was overdramatizing it for a laugh. No, he wouldn’t be a one-and-done. —-Wooosh

Yea, that went over my head since I agreed with every other part of your post.

Young is shooting okayish and has had some nice passes but just seems kinda out of it today. (I was only able to start watching at the half)

How was he the first half of the game when he was 4/4 from the field and 2/2 from deep?

young has an uncanny ability to completely fall apart in the second half of games lately. I wonder if he can buck that trend - not likely.

I feel like he isn't moving off the ball unless he is running towards the ball handler for a pass/handoff.

He looks terrible right now.

I would hate to be in NBA general manager selecting in the top half of the lottery.

If I had to pick Sexton or Young I'm definitely picking Sexton. Where it gets difficult is with guys like Mikhail Bridges and Mo Bamba. I like them better too from the eye test.

Yeah he does. Hopefully those FTs will get him going. Russell is killing the Sooners right now though.

On his last three drives and that 3 now I see the explosion.

He definitely prefers to play downhill and he is a rhythm player.
