OT: Kara Lawson Talking Brackets on SportsCenter

Post#1 » by Chocolate City Jordanaire » Mon Mar 12, 2018 4:22 am

We are really blessed to have Kara Lawson be a Wizards games broadcaster (for now).

I remember when she came out of West Springfield High School and was recruited by Tennessee, under the late, great Pat Summitt.

I'm really excited to see her doing so well! If I am not mistaken she is talking men's brackets. It is on right now so I'm about to find out.

My bad.

She's talking with SVP about the women's brackets. Apparently the NCAA has some kind of tease where they're talking about who they might be putting in on the woman's side.

I thought it was something to have Kara Lawson talk in men's college basketball. I was quite wrong.

She is giving a shout out to Rick Barnes and the Tennessee men's team. She is talking men's basketball.

This is a first.

Kara Is talking men's basketball!!!

Like Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier... Kara Lawson is just solid all the way around.

Are we going to do our own bracket challenge this year?

Pine?

It’s been really fun in year’s past.

Kara really is fantastic. She is honestly my second-favorite on-air analyst of all time behind only the great Hubie Brown. I really like that she doesn't dumb it down for the audience.

I have not heard a thing about Pine.

He was never a friend of mine. I did consider him an associate because I know the guy is from a town very close to where I live.

It bothers me when people disappear but this forum isn't that important to a lot of people. Some have gone on to Twitter and other platforms and they're doing quite nicely.

When people just disappear I wonder but this isn't the real world I guess..

Kara's awesome. I respect Hubie. A former co-worker of mine played for Hubie many years ago when Hubie was an up and coming coach at Fordham. He hated Hubie's guts, but I don't know any of the details, and I think he was a bench-warmer based on what he looked like when I worked with him.
