An article who sustain my idea of an increase number of DL spots:

I've added a poll on Yahoo, so everyone please respond to with your preference for the number of DL spots.

Here is what I'm thinking for the N/A slot.

1. The player you put there should have been on your minor league roster till you promoted him
2. After you promoted him, you should not have dropped him and then picked him back. If that happened, it becomes a FA acquisition.

I'll go through everyone's rosters to see who all are currently eligible and post the list by EOD today. For the others, it gives you an option of promoting someone as soon as they are brought up without worrying about having to roster them in the event they are sent down.

I get it, but I was hoping it might be used as follows:

Scenario 1
I promote Prospect A when he gets called up in May. He struggles and is sent down for seasoning. I believe in him and don't want to drop him, so I can park him in my N/A spot until he comes back to the majors, the timeframe of which I have no idea.

Scenario 2
MLB all star SS goes on bereavement leave. Not hurt, just Not Available. I can backfill without dropping someone.

We had this in the HKL league the last few years, it was handy. But it's not the hill I want to die on.

Sorry, I started going through rosters and it became very complicated. So here is what we’ll do

1. You can put any non-rookie eligible player in your n/a slot.
2. If you want to add someone who is less than 130AB or 50IP, then he needs to be on your minor league roster
3. If you’ve had a rookie eligible player on your roster at the end of last year, or traded for one from a manager who had rostered them last year, then they too can be placed in your n/a slot.

Hopefully this doesn’t become too complicated. I’ll do an audit of all rosters sometime today and post issues that I see here.

Let’s play ball!

The McCutchen/Buxton deal has Victor Robles going for Kyle Crick as well. I'll update the first page in a bit to reflect the minor league trade.

Went through everyone's rosters and here are the eligible players to be placed in your N/A spot as of 29th March 2018

Dinamo
- Austin Hays, eligible to be placed in N/A slot since he was picked up last year and was on his cut down roster for this year

insfo
- David Dahl. No longer a prospect, so eligible to be placed

KBend4
- Greg Holland. No longer a prospect, so eligible to be placed

TyCobb
- AJ Reed. Same as Hays, so eligible as well

AngelStrike
- Willie Calhoun. Acquired via trade from Dinamo. Dinamo had Calhoun on his major league roster last year, so eligible.
- Lucas Sims. No longer a prospect, so eligible.

Didn't think I'd be turning over this much of my roster going into this season. Not sure if I've improved too much overall after these trades, but would definitely need my new look team to start performing! But in the meantime, looking for a good Catcher...

I'll post an updated prospect list with number of at bats and IPs at the majors every couple of weeks. Once anyone on your minor league roster reaches 50 IPs or 130 ABs, I'll make a post here giving the manager a 2 week notice to promote the player. If no transaction is made by then, then the roster will be locked from doing any other transactions until the minor leaguer is promoted or dropped.

Hope that helps.
