Courtland Sutton - WR - Mustangs

Bleacher Report's Matt Miller believes that SMU WR Courtland Sutton has the most potential of any wide receiver in the 2018 class.

Miller ranks Sutton second among the wideouts behind Alabama's Calvin Ridley, and 32nd overall on his post-combine board. The 6-foot-3, 218-pound receiver impressed everyone in Indianapolis, showing speed and quickness during testing and performing well in the on-field drills. Ridley is likely the first player at the position to get drafted, but after his poor testing and Sutton's showing, there's at least a chance that Sutton becomes the first receiver off the board.

Not as high on Bradley Chubb, Denzel Ward or Roquab Smith as most, either.

Why did you choose Darnold and Allen, and not L. Jackson?

I honestly haven't seen Lamar Jackson play a ton. What I've seen leads me to believe he's not going to be a QB (at least not a good one), and he's better off playing WR like Pryor did. But I don't even know that he's going to be a first-round pick.

Josh Rosen - QB - Bruins

NFL College Football 24/7 writer Chase Goodbread wonders if the Bills are following the Eagles path to Carson Wentz to acquire a quarterback.

This makes a lot of sense. If you don't remember, the Eagles traded up from the 13th slot to the 8th pick by giving up Byron Maxwell and Kiko Alonso to the Dolphins. They then traded up from the 8th to the 2 to draft Carson Wentz. The Bills traded up from 21 to 12 Monday by trading Cordy Glenn to the Bengals. It will be much easier for them to trade into the top six -- or higher -- now, and they still own the 22nd overall pick from the Patrick Mahomes trade. This is getting interesting.

Guess Lynch wasn't the one who asked Guice if he was gay, then.

Told you guys I had Guice on my draft board. really like that guy. explosive can get the ball out of the back field fast. I like Goedert but maybe we can get Guice with our second round pick. wouldn't be surprised if we traded back and drafted him in the 1st round.

Unfortunately most of the guys I like won't last until our second. I pray we trade down and get more picks between where we currently sit.

Looking at Cleveland. Obviously they signed Hyde to a deal that should come in roughly around $5M per (6M in 1st year).

Should they take Saquon Barkley at 4th overall (same spot as Fournette) that puts him at roughly around $7M per year (top 5 paid back on the average)

And they're talking contract with Duke Johnson. I would think that deal or those conversations involve giving at least what Giovani Bernard got from Cincy to stay. Johnson has more receiving production and isn't asked to be a pure runner as much as Bernard but it's one of the closest recent comps I think there is to a deal he might pattern. I could be wrong. Bernard's average is $5.2M.

Hyde plus Barkley = $12M per.
Hyde plus Barkley plus Johnson = roughly $18M per.

Hyde plus Barkley would likely put them at 2nd most in the league behind Pittsburgh (Bell's tag situation).

Hyde plus Barkley plus Johnson would easily surpass every team in the league unless I'm overvaluing what I think DJ could get. I don't LOVE this look because Johnson at this point is closer to being considered an offensive weapon or even a part-time wide receiver than typical running back. If I had time, a more accurate look would be each team's top 2 backs plus each team's top utility guy (the ones that deploy a utility guy).

Anyway, that's what they're looking at potentially for the RB spot. Obviously they have the space to go down that road if they want to. I'm not talking about the possibility of it. It's obviously workable/possible and they can build that way if they want to. At least those 3 names are all names I like to varying degrees. The fact it's only 3 years for Hyde instead of 4-5 is not lost on me either. That makes sinking that much into one spot a bit more tolerable but IF they go Barkley at any point close to 4, it's going to bring up an nontraditional cap commitment obviously.

Of course if they get their "QB of the future" this year as well, they'll be helped by the fact that they'll have him locked in at a FAR lower rate than most team's starting QB positions so that somewhat balances them out a bit more than what a lot of other teams can do.

Calvin Ridley - WR - Crimson Tide

NFL Media's Daniel Jeremiah believes the WR free agent market shows the NFL's lack of confidence in the 2018 draft's WR class.

In a market where Ryan Grant, Albert Wilson and other secondary receivers were handed huge contracts, it appears the NFL has plenty of questions about the receiver class. While there might not be a clear top name among the group, there might not be a big gap between receivers in the 1-10 ranking. Teams' evaluations will vary drastically at this position.

Yup! He’s good, but not nearly as good as Fournette or Gurley when they came out:

I'd like to see us trade back in the first, then maybe use some of the picks we get to trade up in the second. I do like our third-round picks for maybe taking an interior OL, though it's possible that the cream of the crop there will also be gone by the late second, early third.

WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS ISSSSSSSSSSSSSS SIMPLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

if Saquon Barkley is any where near our number 9 pick we better move up in the draft to get this guy. and draft him. I don't care about multiple picks I don't care about picks we have this is why you acquire other picks.

Can you imagine Saquon Barkley in a kyle shannahan offense like this with Garapollo Wow. don't get me started. this sounds like Adrian Peterson all over again or Todd Gurley. Drafting a guy like this gets us to the Super Bowl.

What's the Shakes Head.

Are you seriously the Dude. I repeat are you seriously the Dude. that is going to sit up here and say JERICK MCKINON will stop the 49ers from Drafting Saquon Barkley. everybody said highest draft grade they've had on a running back. Charley Casserly all the analysts saying he's a great talent. like a Todd Gurley type of Talent.

So when you look at what those players did. we are going to let a contract that we signed Jerrick Mckinon to prevent us from Drafting Saquoan Barkley who might be a perennial Pro Bowler.

How many pro Bowls has Jerrick Mckinon made.

WARREN SAPP VOICE PUT A JERSEY ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
