Yes we were lucky that trade didn't happen, what would we do if we didn't have the opportunity to draft the amazing Henry Ellenson
Draft picks are valuable regardless of the fact SVG's picks and player development have been awful.
Drummond, KCP and Bullock developed just fine under SVG, Ellenson and SJ are bit time busts, and that's not on SVG, that's on them. They both had plenty of opportunities to play and develop.
If Donatas Motiejunas didn't have injury issues, he would have been a great player for us, way better than Leuer. Oh yeah, because that trade failed, we not only drafted Henry, we also signed Jon **** Leuer for that big contract.
Monroe/Knight/KCP/SJ were all top 10 picks, and we got 0 value out of them. 0.
Stanley has had plenty of opportunites to develop...im not sure how you can say that for Ellenson. The guy has barely played in 2 years. He probably is bad (at least at this point in his career) but we don't really know for sure.
