If they didn’t spread the $2M signing bonus out then ok $12M year one. Insane.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. $36.9M? Where did that come from? Four-year deal? If these numbers are correct, I absolutely hate this contract. Why in the world are we making Jerick McKinnon one of the highest-paid RBs in the game? This makes absolutely no sense to me.

From a movement skills perspective he was one of the 2-3 closest things to Vernon Davis that I've seen come into the NFL. Kind of liked VG coming in. Wanted to draft him.

He’s not seeing that 4th year and $14M.

When we heard the figures, I figured this might be the rare Niner contract that is back-loaded. I mean, how could we be putting that amount of money toward a guy who is really just a mediocre player, and certainly not an every down guy? Instead, we front-loaded it. $11 million in year one? Mind. Blown. And not in a good way.

I'd look at Ebron... if he still has his speed, thats something we can take advantage of

Eifert > Ebron. Easily. Not even a question in my mind. Even with the injury stuff. Granted Ebron has missed a couple games in all but this last season.

Oh i agree that Eifert is above Ebron... I was under the assumption that Eifert is/was looking for bigger pay. Ebron has no leverage IMO.

No, of course not. But we're grossly overpaying for the first three years, too.

Especially year one. They can walk years two and three as well. I’m pretty sure Kyle told Marathe to go outrageous on this one to win the bidding war. Nuts. I would expect year three to be significantly cheaper to balance but no.

Trying not to shed tears. I can't give anybody anything positive from a value standpoint on it but here's a crazy list. As of March 14th, the RBs who are set to earn the most cash paid to them for this year:

Bell - $14.5
McKinnon - $11.7M
McCoy - $6.3M
Lynch - $5.9M
Miller - $5.7M
Murray - $5.7M
Ingram - $4.6M
Anderson - $4.5M
Powell - $4M
Bernard - $3.5M
Riddick - $3.2M

It's good to be McKinnon today.

We can also look at this as a two year $15.4M deal for Jet McKinnon. $7.7M per. Steep.
