You stole my post. Get out of my mind

You're both basically saying he has no room for improvement. All of those things are "fixable". Its easier to coach those skills up than teach his handles, vision and shot creation.

He'd be a damn fine prospect for us to go after. My only concern with drafting him is how annoying Stacey will be about having a Sooner on the team.

Was just about to say that. He is not a finished product and is still playing great. If he's at 8 we can't pass him up.

I can understand that. Just don't believe it.

Rockets have Ariza Capela Tucker and CP3... all play D.

Dubs have Durant, Klay, Iggy, Livinston, and Draymond.

Those are the only two teams sniffing a title. 2nd Tier teams are far away IMO.

I do think Trae Young has the potential to be so good as a shooter, assister, and FT maker that his D won't matter that much. No one will be able to guard him and he will make the game easy for the guys around him.

An early exit for Trae Young only helps him be around for our pick.

Trae Young's going to fall to 8 and we're going to pass on him. I've decided to be small mad now so I'm not big mad later.

It would be very lucky to get someone like Young in this draft, he could be some player in few years.

I feel really good about the top 9 minus MPJ. Just don't want him.

1. Luka... absolute perfect fit for us and future MVP candidate. Plays the right way and makes everyone better. Impact player from day one too.

2. Ayton... Will score like crazy and be a #1 option for a long time

3. JJJ... would fit perfectly next to Lauri and can defend 3-5. His shooting and FT drawing are already there and IMO he will be able to be a #2 option in the future shooting over people and also getting around them with his dribble.

4. Mikal Bridges... day one starter that fits really well with our 3 young guns. Some great reads about him being so much more than a 3D wing... which BTW is the most important position in the league right now... and we don't have one player that fits that profile. I see him better than Otto Porter and a Kawhi lite... he could score 20ppg efficiently and be a good #2 option... most likely a #3 option though.

5. Young... ridiculous offensive ceiling... his D will suck but like Harden it won't matter because he will be so good on offense creating his own 3s and FT's and as well easy shots for others... His floor is a super 6th man that will be dangerous

6. Carter... He's a real C that can shoot 3's. IMO a better defensive and rebounding Horford. Like his post moves alot. Question his PnR D. He's a riser like Lauri who isn't getting the touches due to Bagley.

7. Bagley... His motor is awesome and will keep him highly productive for a long time. Don't trust his shot and I think it will take him awhile to figure it out. He's not a 5 and doens't rim protect. His PnR D is "meh". I see him like a Julius Randle with no real position due to no 3 ball but could play within a system and be productive... I just don't want to pay that and odn't think he moves the needle... much like Randle.

8. Bamba... Backup big that will show flashes early but will take awhile. He's a liability on the floor offensively and will be. Like his lob potential and FT shooting. Could be a Gobert but it will take time. Don't think his D is so elite that it will make up for his lack of offense. Teams will bully him until he fills out. He will foul out alot.

9. MPJ... I know the potential... just don't believe in it in this league. Think he will get abused defensively by wings and in the post by PF's. Think he is 100% a PF but doesn't have the strength or the willingness to play against PF's in the league. Could see him being much like Niko once he accepts what he is as a PF. That's a useful player but not a frachise changer. Back is a red flag too. Horrible fit next to Lauri or Portis too.

Defense isn't dead though. For all the talk about Houston's offense, they're 7th in defensive rating.

Mikal Bridges is an interesting prospect, but if his three ball doesn't translate it's pretty much a wasted lottery pick. I get his appeal around 7 and down, because the talent clearly thins out, but I'd be more excited about him if his ball handling was sharper. If GarPax (or any team) draft Bridges that three ball better translate to the pro game.

I agree with Chi Town. The franchise player prospects are Doncic and Ayton, with JJJ as the more rounded, do it all type guy that might not ever be a #1 option but can be like the 2nd best player on a title team. After those three, I'm not thrilled with anyone. At least not among the top 8 or so guys I've looked into.

Its the best part of the season. Unless your team is a contender. Everything else is a tier below in terms of excitement. For me at least.

Carter is playing superb D in this game. Also playing against small guys though. Altered 4 shots already at the rim. 3 deflections for steals too.

Another steal.

I think I know who Carter is... The C version of Taj with a 3 ball.

I will happily take that. He has that tough, gritty, lunch pale persona too.

Just ran the floor and threw down a lob!

From the basketball's perspective, travel is a nice pause from being pounded to the floor.

Keep it in your pants. He's playing a horrendous team.

And he's no where near as mobile as Taj. Taj is damn near elite in that category.

That early exit of Young and his team may make certain front offices skeptical of him, but I still wouldn't overlook him easily though. Him being surrounded by good players may be more intriguing. I think the main questions about him are can he be just as effective with less ball usage and can he protect the ball better?

He's also bigger, stronger, and longer. He's the 5 version of Taj.

A 5 version of Taj with a 3 ball... that like a Draymond type of impact player.
