Haha I think you're right! He seemed all right. I don't really know what a stinger is, whether it is a spinal thing or something that can happen in multiple areas of the body.
from what I remember, he had narrowing of his cervical spinal canal, which, with extension of his neck, causes sharp, stinging pains to radiate down his body.
It's not relatively uncommon, but usually, when it occurs, happens in the lumbar spine (lower back), causing sharp shooting pains down to the legs and buttocks.
More of the body is naturally affected, the higher up the spinal canal you go, and much more dangerous when involving the cervical canal.
