I get the impression that Howard has improved gradually as the season has worn on. Even his free throws are better. Howard is 60.5% from the line for the last fifteen games. He might be worth keeping another year.

Batum played 40 minutes in a meaningless game in which we were up by 10-20 points throughout while Monk only got 15 minutes.

Batum started stat hunting for his triple-double and Clifford left him in until he got it. Odd that a coach would urge and encourage that from veteran player in a losing season.

They are both on the fun train now. Neither could show anything during the season when it mattered, so now it’s just “have a good time” while screwing up our draft position further.

Wow, 4 replies on a game thread. Turn out the lights somebody...the party’s over.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I haven't gotten to see many games recently because I have obligations from 5-10 PM half the week plus I'm losing interest like I've never done before, but holy **** how does a game thread get 4 replies

Have just as many mods as the game thread post. Depressing on here. I watched the first half. Meh. Nothing to look forward to. Our one young prospect isnt going to get any significant playing time so there's no real reason to tune in.

I mean, Atlanta is clearly tanking so no reason to tune in, right? Especially if Monk is glued to the bench.

I'm not even looking forward to the draft. This season has utterly crushed my Hornets fandom. Will take a top 3 draft pick or a 50 win season to get it back I fear

I have never been more disinterested in this team. I would rather watch Felton do random spin moves 40 feet away from the basket

I'm not crushed, but I feel you. This season sucks for lots of reasons and there seems to be very little hope in the near future for improvement.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I'm not as down on the team long term as some because I think a coaching change and roster tweaks would have a massive impact on our win total, but I generally have lost interest in this team too, but that's because it's the end of the season and the playoffs aren't happening.

To me it confirms in my mind that if we tank I'm going to be tempted to stop watching altogether. I'm not going to get revved up to watch a team that is intentionally playing meaningless basketball.

The loss of interest from many of us is just a loss of hope for as long as Clifford is coach. It’s mentally demoralizing to watch the games in hopes that he’ll make the right adjustments but 99% of the time we just lose the same miserable way we lose all of the previous games doing the same things that didn’t work several times before. The fans that actually watch the games just don’t believe in Clifford no more.

Wouldn't tanking and playing the young guys have more meaning than playing the starters and beating tanking teams while hurting our draft position even further?

I had to unfollow Hornets social media because of all the gloating about beating the worst team in the league (barely I might add) in March which actually hurts our team more than it helps

I know they have to do a job and all, but its excessive how much they post after a win

Don't they know that every win is a loss at this point? Everyone in the comments after every post says so

Watching bad players lose games isn't fun to me. If they are younger with potential that doesn't make it better.

I'm not criticizing those that want to tank, I'm just saying if we are choosing to tank I'm going to tune out until we decide to start trying to win again
