It's becoming fun to watch this team play again because they're much more efficient now offensively playing 5 against 5 starting every game and their defense hasn't dropped off much since Brewer is doing a pretty good job.
Russ-George--Anthony-Adams + Roberson since Donovan went away from Melo+bench: 112.8 ORtG | 95.1 DRtG | +17.7 NetRtG
Russ-George-Anthony + Brewer: 117.9 ORtG | 106.4 DRtG | +11.5 NetRtG
But man oh man, this is SO MUCH better.
On a factor basis, the Brewers starters are doing three things really well: Shot making (60.2 eFG% because they are shooting 46 % from 3), keeping people off the line and forcing turnovers while keeping players off the boards. Their opp eFG% would rank last in the league. Their own free throw attempt rate is below league average; so is their own turnover ratio.
We'll see how this works out once they stop making 3s like this. Anthony is shooting 47 %. George 44 % and Brewer 58 %. That will not continue. They really need to do a better job of actually defending guys.
"I don't know of any player that, when the shot goes up, he doesn't want it to go in," Donovan said
