Kings are 5/5 over there last 10 and we're 2/8 so this might not be an easy win. We've been really awful lately. Right now we'd have to finish 11-2 over our last 13 games to finish .500 which I still think should be a goal for the team since we don't have a lotto pick but in reality if winning down the stretch helps SVG keep his job I'm all for losing because this team is in desperate need of a new voice.

This would normally be one of those end of season games I hate because we'd pick up a meaningless win.

But, that only matters to Clippers fans now, as they own our soul until June.

Tanking kings +2 I'm expecting a close game that we win late due to the kings benching some starters in the 2nd half

We have literally 3 starting quality players on this entire roster, and one of them has been out injured for 3 months.
SVG needs to go ASAP

Yeah pretty bad that the kings are a deeper team then us. I mean its the tanking kings we've got Blake/Drummond we should be crushing these guys home or on the road. Blakes actually playing well today.

ts just a matter of this team lacks talent outside of the top end guys. That right their is what bad drafting and free agent signings do to your team.

Between:

Bullock
Ish
Kennard
Johnson
Tolliver
Ennis
Buycks

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if none of those were in a playoff teams rotation.
Maybe Bullock as a spot up shooter

Bullock and Tolliver would be for sure they're very good shooters and defenders. Maybe Ish, the other 4 have no chance.

To be fair, of the rest of those, Ennis has been a rotation player for a playoff team (27mpg in the playoffs last year). Johnson and Kennard are 21. Buycks should be our 4th string PG, but Reggie is hurt and Jameer sucks.

Blake is still a good to great player.

Bad fit and no short-mid term plan, though.

He's a good center, if you don't mind zero effort on defense. He's a pretty bad power forward by modern NBA demands, which is basically the ability to shoot consistently.

He is just a horrible fit next to Drummond, a complete non-shooter. I hope they trade out of Blake's deal this summer. I know they won't. Gores thinks he landed a superstar.

If he can improve his shooting, he can be a top 10 PG. There's just gobs of talent there. Not sure Sacramento is the team to unlock it.

Ya his lateral quickness is pretty horrible now. And the vertical too. He needs to play with a stretch 4 and be our stretch 5 lol. Lordddddd
Maybe Leuer magically comes back next year and plats better than ever. He could help.

That would be his ideal position now. Where he can do 80% of his work around the rim, and still knock down an occasional 3 pointer, opposed to launching 5-7 a game. If you wanted any kind of success, you'd have to pair him in a shooting PF, that is also a rim protector. Not many of those unicorns out there, and even then, teams that have tried that still failed spectacularly because having a 5 that can't defend just spells failure. Orlando tried using Ibaka to cover up Vuc's defensive short comings. It didn't work. Milwaukee tried an aggressive defense to hide Greg Monroe. Both teams ended up benching their defensively useless 5's.

Drummond is the player we should keep, and do anything we can to off-load Griffin. This is what you'd do if Detroit employed any concept of team building, positional strength and fit. This is why I believe SVG wasn't behind the Blake trade. While he has lots of swings and misses, he always wanted guys who fit what he was trying to do- that's why he's never signed or traded for a big who can't shoot at the 4.
