President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

The laboratory is surely also capable of producing such stuff, just like similar laboratories in other countries are able to do.
Now lets counter May's claims:
- Novichok agents are claimed to be up to 10 times as toxic as VX. One drop of VX can kill a person. If the Skripals were poisoned with such an highly effective agent how come they are still alive?
- The Soviet Union, not Russia, developed such agents. The main work was done in Uzbekistan.
- Russia is likely able to re-produce such agents but so are many, many other countries. Russia joined the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction in 1997. It has since (unlike the U.S.) destroyed all left over stocks from the Soviet Union chemical weapon program. It does not produce chemical weapons.
- What is Russia's "record of state sponsored assassinations"? The British claim that "Russia" was somehow involved in the death of MI6 agent Litvinenko is highly dubious. I am not aware of any other cases.
- If Russia sees "some defectors" as legitimate targets why doesn't it immediately kill them? Skripal was living openly in the UK since 2010. Why would Russia kill him at all and why now?

Former UK Ambassador Craig Murray has been poking holes at this story
The British Ambassador to the OPCW was celebrating last year when OPCW confirmed Moscow dismantled all its chemical weapons stock.
Something is not right from the British side. I’m wary of the Conservative Party’s word when they are in crisis and are compromised by Russian oligarch cash

Bruce Bartlett@BruceBartlett
Why Watergate was a walk in the park compared to the Trump disaster--in 1974 there honorable Republicans in office who put country above party. Now there are none. Zero. Nada. Not a single patriot among all the Republicans in Congress. Just cowards and toadies.
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/3/19/1750299/-Reagan-Adviser-Bruce-Bartlett-They-are-all-whores-and-cowards-who-will-do-nothing
Today, after much consideration, I abandon my party because I am unwilling to abandon my principles. I can no longer stand with a Republican Party that is led by a man I firmly believe is taking the party of Lincoln in a direction I fundamentally disagree with, and a party that is unwilling to stand up to him.
It disturbs me that the Republican Party under President Donald Trump is now defined as a party hostile to immigration. We are the leader of the free world, not because we are great (or need to be great again), but because we are good. [...]
Civility is an inner trait of true character. Trump’s belittling of Sen. Jeff Flake and immature name-calling of Sen. Bob Corker reflect a weakness of character. Trump’s penchant for conspiracy theories, such as his assertion that Sen. Ted Cruz’s father was involved in the assassination of JFK, is disturbing. His poorly constructed stream-of-consciousness tweets are not only immature, but provide real harm to the stability of our democracy.
As President George W. Bush recently lamented, “Bullying and prejudice in our public life sets a national tone, provides permission for cruelty and bigotry, and compromises the moral education of children. The only way to pass along civic values is to first live up to them.”

Cambridge Analytica caught on tape.
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/3/19/1750321/-CEO-of-Cambridge-Analytica-Caught-on-Video-Offering-Election-Dirty-Tricks-Services
Secret video of Cambridge Analytica’s top executives reveals how the firm covertly, and unethically, influences elections around the world.
An undercover video report on Cambridge Analytica, the data analytics company hired by Donald Trump’s presidential election campaign, was posted by Britain’s Channel 4 News today.
The short documentary catches Cambridge Analytica CEO Alexander Nix admitting to manipulating elections around the world through potentially illegal, and inarguably duplicitous, means. His firm was recently discovered by the New York Times and The Guardian to have secretly harvested the information of 50 million Facebook users, and exploiting it to target American voters with political ads.

I think that firing him in that environment could very well be interpreted as an effort to diminish his effectiveness as a witness. What’s that called? Obstruction of justice."

What's more likely. Either Russia lied and never dismantled it or started it up again or the UK government used an elaborate plan which poisoned their own citizens so they can expel diplomats?

dckingsfan wrote:@dirt - with regards to the housing bubble: Housing Tax Policy, Deregulation (as you cited) and Mandated Loans are among the most cited. It goes deeper than that of course. And the student loan program is more of the same.
We still come back to the "add an agency to protect us from our policies" kind of approach. And often we don't need to replace these policies - we just need to kill them.Observers and analysts have attributed the reasons for the 2001–2006 housing bubble and its 2007–10 collapse in the United States to "everyone from home buyers to Wall Street, mortgage brokers to Alan Greenspan".Other factors that are named include "Mortgage underwriters, investment banks, rating agencies, and investors", "low mortgage interest rates, low short-term interest rates, relaxed standards for mortgage loans, and irrational exuberance" Politicians in both the Democratic and Republican political parties have been cited for "pushing to keep derivatives unregulated" and "with rare exceptions" giving Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac "unwavering support".
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Causes_of_the_United_States_housing_bubble
So deregulation is a big problem, and now let's kill some regulations... you see... that's where I have a problem. I don't even mean come back with a differenr take on the same ideas, but killing legislation without having thought through alternatives IS a problem. And when regulations effectively become legislated deregulation mandated to action, that's when we need tougher white collar crime laws that aren't just fines for less than you made profiting on the whole ordeal.
Frankly, I feel white collar crime needs to be taken a whole lot more seriously. People just don't fear it because they don't understand it, but frankly, being robbed of a wallet at knife point isn't actually as big of a social problem as having billions misappropriated while others die due to overinflated social costs.
Bucket! Bucket!

It's wild how quickly all this is unraveling. There must have been a ton of campaign finance laws being violated.

3. Provide and/or regulate basic public infrastructure - roads/ports/airports, electricity, water, internet
4. Provide unemployment insurance
5. Provide schools, police, fire departments
Some things that the government has to provide, or help provide, that they could do better:
1. Social security
2. Health care
3. Urban planning/zoning/business licensing
4. Prosecution of embezzlement/fraud/white collar crime in general. Based on what the Mueller investigation is uncovering, there's a whole class of rich people who apparently are just running amok.
based on mueller..???? Running amok? lol you are just now figuring that out that extremely wealthy people and corporations control everything??? yet you post on here as if you are "all knowing and have some kind of valueable information to depart on the rest of us and you constantly attack posters personally calling them racists. Anti-semitic, anti-poor, anti-gay, anti anything not liberal basically.
On the last page you were defending elizabeth warren when someone called her out for faking to be a Native American in order to advance her career. If Warren was told some lie by her family 40 years ago? And even that is a HUGE "if." But let's assume she was told that lie. Given the fact that she could put it to bed with a DNA test and "refuses," yet continues to perpetuate the lie is disgusting behavior. News flash. there is nothing that she could do that would be more damaging to president trump (her politcal nemesis) than post results of a DNA test on twitter. And she has NOT. Why? because the result are clear. She is NOT Native American. only a cotdamn niave stupid clown azz fool would not understand that she has already taken the DNA test. and the results are negative. Or else you would already have seen the results on her twitter feed tagging @potus.
Speaking of faking being a minority for gain. I will never forget the 2 blonde hair/ blue eyes twins in dental school. extremely pale skinned white guys from missouri that claimed to be native american and went to dental school for free as well as received additional money. There was no DNA test back then, Just their "word." while the rest of us (asian, black, hispanic, and white ) all paid $155,000 for the 4 years of education. Near the end of the school those DNA tests just became available. I'm quite sure they would refuse to take the DNA test as well just like Warren claims to not have taken the test or no need for a test.
in short Zonker, you are a complete joke. You attack posters left and right for calling a spade a spade all in the name of advancing your political agenda. I dont know whats worse. that you are self righteous enough to think you are actually doing "the right thing" or that you are so damn naive that you are completely hoodwinked by you own liberal party.
But let's not bury the lead. Yeah, Rich people suck. Wealthy corporations just the same. Wake up.
Seize their damn wealth. close the loop holes and impose a massive death tax or all this political left vs right banter back and forth means nothing. They will always control congress. which will make them always control the white house as congress has oversight and the ability to impeach.
They dont control Trump right now and they are doing everything to remove him from the office. and idiots like you cant see more than 2 feet in front of your own damn nose yet come on here a preach like you are some kind of expert and know it all. and you are NOT alone. there are like 10 liberals that came on here every day for over a year and promised us that Trump colluded with russians.
You lied. And really. you were lied to. You were lied to by the Obama outgoing administration. you were lied to by liberal candidates both HRC and bernie as they lost. And you were lied to by all of the democratic senators and house reps like Adam Schiff that entered the national spotlight pushing that same agenda. And they were all lied to by essentially the same Obama administration at the top of the FBI and CIA. The only question we need answered is whether or not the leaders of the FBI and CIA were ordered under Obama to make up these lies or if they did it on their own. I'm guessing that the Clintons owned Lorretta Lynch sine the 90's when Bill first appointed her as NY federal judge.
In the end, the whole thing has been nothing more than a political witch hunt to damage trump politically. damage republicans overall. In order to win the mid terms. CNN has now backed off collusion for over 3 months. they rarely bring it up after talking about it every day 24/7 for 13 straight months. Now they emphasize obstruction. which they are also starting to back away from. Today CNN talked all day long about how the president should "act innocent" and stop attacking mueller-the very man assigned to go on a 14 months witch hunt to find anything he did wrong or anything his associated did wrong. all in the name to politically damage trump and republicans.
like i said, its a full rebuild.
