Been looking through WRs to find a guy who fits the profile of the guys we often get in the 2nd-3rd round range. The guy who stands out is Gallup.

I think DJ Moore is another guy to keep an eye on.

I'm on agreement to trade down but the packers already have 11 picks. I like the idea of having double digit lottery tickets but they need impact. Would be nice to move back in the first for a late first and second then trade some of the mid round picks to get back into second third. Try to package those picks and come away with 7-8 picks in this draft

I could see them going after Cedrick Wilson.

Smart Kid.
His pops was an NFL WR
Small school
Good Character
Was a Qb
Can return kicks
Can stretch the field
Has size
Nice hands
High yards per catch

His Pro day is the 26th so we'll see if it was just a weird circumstance.

Yeah, agreed. I want more picks in the first 100, more in the first 50.

I've read every one of Tony Pauline's Pro Day write-ups. To date, the Packers are mentioned one time:

Oregon transfer Chris Seisay, a Week 1 riser, showed next-level skills since his freshman season with the Ducks while junior college transfer Donovan Olumba came out of nowhere this year and started to gain traction last October.

At pro day, Seisay measured 6012 and 197 pounds, timed a better-than-expected 4.51 in the 40, 6.63 in the three-cone and 4.10 in the short shuttle. He touched 38 inches on the vertical jump and 10-foot-2 on the broad jump.

Over the course of the day, Seisay met with the Los Angeles Chargers, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks as well as the Arizona Cardinals. I’m told the Cardinals like Seisay a lot and could take a stab on him in the last round.

I've been watching film of Josh Jackson, Rashaan Evans, and Roquan Smith. I want one of them to be a Packer. I wouldn't mind taking a ILB and trading back into the first round if Josh Jackson is going to freefall from his 40 time. That dude made plays.

Stop the presses! 2 more prospects the Pack are connected to:

The Hawaii pro-day took place at Azusa Pacific University among representatives from all 32 teams while the Cal workout was in Berkley. There were solid performances at both places.

Shrine Game participant Dejon Allen tested well and looked good in position drills. He measured 6023/295 pounds, completed 29 reps on the bench and touched 30.5 inches in the vertical jump. His forty time clocked 4.98s while he timed 4.73s in the short shuttle and 7.5s in the 3 cone.

Allen, who played left tackle for Hawaii but projects to guard or center at the next level, interviewed with the Minnesota Vikings, Houston Texans, Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers.

His teammate, safety Trayvon Henderson, participated in the Senior Bowl in January and had a fine week.

Henderson posted a vertical jump of 39.5 inches, touched 10-feet-4-inches in the broad jump then timed 4.54s in the forty, 4.04s in the short shuttle and 6.88s in the three cone.

Henderson met with the Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, Cincinnati Bengals, Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams. He has an official 30 visit scheduled with the Houston Texans.

FWIW, Henderson is a 5-7 rd guy. Allen is most likely a 7 to UDFA guy.

A lot of mocks have Jackson falling out of the first round even with his 40 time. I don't know if I believe that to be the case. If he runs a sub 4.5 at his pro day, then he will skyrocket back into the conversation for top 15. However, if he falls into the 2nd round (we would have to trade up in the 2nd), and we can come away with Rashaan Evans plus him, or Roquan Smith plus him, then I will be incredibly satisfied.

I am sick of missing out on difference making middle linebackers. We missed out on CJ Mosley by a few picks, we missed out on Jack, we missed out on Reuben Foster. Blake Martinez is nice, but Jake Ryan sees a lot of field time and does not bring a lot of production with it. Pettine's defenses have had playmaking linebackers on the inside, and I hope that he values the position more than it has been valued in the last decade.

Whenever I watched Boise this year, I loved this dude. This would be a solid mid-round pick at WR, for sure.

A: I'd rather have Clark over Jack. The fact people still lament passing over Jack is crossing over to humorous territory. The stud NT or the ILB with degenerative knee issues? Such a question

B: Foster.... No red flags there.......

C: Jake Ryan doesn't see the field that much as he doesn't really play in the nickel and dime packages.

I honestly think Ryan suffers from the maligned opinions of Packer fans due to so many ILB's burned in the flats via RB or flanker routes. Ryan actually graded out quite well last season. He's a very competent early down and short yardage back. He obviously is not a cover backer. BUT, as you note, he's not being asked to do that (and, certainly, Pettine won't ask him to that either).

Trade the F down, get into the 20's and with what you got for moving down try to move back into the 2nd for another quality starter type.

Another Packer sighting at USC:

Center Nicholas Falah was also a popular guy. The big lineman, who deserved a combine invitation, looked good all day and interviewed with the New York Jets, Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers.

Another late round (6-7) guy, fwiw.

Return to Green Bay Packers
