Game Thread 03/19: Pacers vs. Lakers

Post#1 » by boomershadow » Sun Mar 18, 2018 5:44 pm

Without Turner, rim protection quickly became an issue for the Pacers against Washington on Saturday. Indiana allowed the Wizards to shoot a scorching 54.8 percent from the field, the highest total a team has shot against Indiana since February 5th.

The Pacers will face a Lakers (31-38) team that has been playing solid basketball for nearly three months now after a slow start to the season. But L.A. has dropped its last two contests and is expected to be without Brandon Ingram, who is currently sidelined with a sore groin.

Lately, the Lakers have been powered by the playmaking of Ball, who dishes out a team-high 7.1 assists per game.

monteith says Nate considering shortening the rotation. I'd lengthen it for the rest of the regular season to get everyone playoff ready. I'm confident we make the playoffs even if we never win another game.

I agree. This part of the season, guys with fresh legs should try to step up.

I do not know because I didn't hear what Monteith said or what the context was. What I'm guessing is if Myles is still out he's going to shorten the bigs rotation. Down Myles and Domas I see us going small a bit more. That is my guess in what he was referring to. I think he was talking about cutting Leaf out with they way our big rotation currently is.

I hope Thad Young can slow down Randle tonight. Teams have not had an answer for him inside for the past couple of months. Won't help that Sabonis isn't in there to rebound.

Myles getting off the bench to pick up Lance after he dove out of bounds for a ball was good to see.

Myles' offense has improved a lot, he's getting more physical and is scoring inside more. This is the Myles Turner that I think people expected at the beginning of the season

I don’t like this. GR3 is not the guy I want to cut out of the rotation. But I guess there isn’t really anyone else to cut out of the rotation. I’m sure Al Jeff will be a casualty when Sabonis comes back though.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m a GR3 believer and in the same way that people argue Joseph should be in at the end of games, GR3 should too.

I'm not a fan of this at all. Shame on me for questioning Nate because he is the COY in my opinion, but I think GR3 can provide a lot come playoff time. I didn't think he was playing poorly. I'm a little confused.
