Jokic playing 19 minutes in 1st half!?

Is this means Malone is finally scared for his seat?

We shoot 3pt over 50% but still no lead at halftime, because we have no defense. Also, despite great scoring half (7-9 FG so far, 17pts) Nikola once again in Gary Harris absence not running our offense. Against Memphis, he has just 2 assists and today on halftime ZERO!? If really wants to save his life (I mean seat), Malone should recall this change.

OT at least we're getting a good effort on the road ! IF we win, does that make up for the MEM loss ?

Losing double overtime game vs playoff team on the road without Garris is just sad and heartbreaking before anything, so if I have to send some complaint about Malone, it is: why he is not fired after Memphis?

Very apparent Barton is not starting SG material, if I notice this why doesn't Malone ?? Fire the guy sooner than later !!

With Miami's shooting percentage for FGs & 3pts; I'm shocked we were even in the game.

I was tempted to post about some of the things they did that were wrong, but I thought I'd save time and just post about everything they did right.

1) They hung in there.
2) There were some nice individual efforts for short periods.

Just watch highlights on youtube, We had to defend better. Miami set franchise record for points.

Read on Twitter

So Malone is blaming Jokic for not being to stop the guards cutting into the lane, and the bigs setting the picks outside while the guards go over the top of screens and chase the guard down the lane effectively taking them out of the play? Hate to be the one to tell him but there are not many that can do that in the NBA which is why stretch bigs are so popular. Of course most defensive coaches can figure out how to help, but that requires help defense and switching.

This guy needs fired, today, not tomorrow, not next week, not after the season, he needs fired today. I can design a better defensive system against pick and rolls on a napkin after a 12 pack than what Malone uses.

He's a moron, that's who he is going to blame when they miss play off, even though less than three weeks Nuggets were beating good team and were 10-3.

Just rewatched Johsnon and Olynyk highlights, I don't know how can you blame Jokic for their big nights :banghead:

I totally disagree - I think Malone should have been fired in the middle of last year. His system has never worked for the Kings or the Nuggets and what's really crazy is, the system is breaking down worse than ever. Why? For the same reason young players have a break-out season or partial season and then they have trouble continuing at that level; because other players, teams, coaches adapt. Clearly Malone's system is too inflexible and others are adjusting and exploiting the weaknesses inherent in his system.

We're not only talking about his terrible defensive system, but his offensive system as well. Malone has even stated that our offense works best when Jokic has the ball but Malone refuses to let him have the ball enough. He calls plays for Barton to initiate the offense and Murray and D.Harris and sometimes others. Why not let Jokic touch the ball on almost every play? Since there is usually no play called but it's all based on movement with Jokic making decisions, it's much harder to defend - probably impossible from what we've seen. Why doesn't he do this? Because Malone is still stuck trying to coach in the style of the 1980s.

Consider James Johnson (my hometown man). He never seemed like much until he got to Miami where Spolstra seems to have motivated him and appears to know how to use him. A coach must adapt his system to the players he has, using their strengths. Malone wants his players to do things his way - that has never been an effective approach in any sport.
