I was never a big fan of his but this fit right here might make sense for both sides. He could be a scary weapon for them due to his skill set:

Jeremy Hill - RB - Patriots

Patriots signed RB Jeremy Hill.

Hill didn't draw any free agent interest outside of the Patriots. He's coming off three straight sub-4.0 YPC seasons and had just 37 carries in 2017 despite starting every game before landing on IR. Hill will be part of a committee in New England, but there's not much in the way of carries. There's some rebound potential for Hill if he locks down a red-zone role.

One of my favorite players left. Never once suggested the 49ers sign him, however. More so than quite a few guys on the back end, he's really somebody you have to see move with your own eyes to fully appreciate the Morgan Burnett experience. There were stretches when he was right where he was my favorite player to watch on many of their defenses.

Sammy's brother. Yes, that Sammy.

He needed a ton of physical development coming into the NFL and had some size limitations I didn't like. People love throwing the word "versatile" around a lot but at least going in he was closer to a man without a true position that he can be really good at than a guy you should ping pong around and count on for long stretches. Believe I've seen him on various top special teamer lists over the years, though.

I like Hurns but I know we aren’t going after him.

Why bother with this guy.

1-year, $5M.

That's after failing the physical with the Ravens after agreeing to a 4-year, $29M deal.

Agree. I was reading comments from several Eagles fans and none of them care if he walks. Sounds like a special teams/backup player at best

Not sure there was another name LEFT REMAINING out there that I'd have wanted more than him IF you were FORCING me to pick from in UFA. What was left was very unexciting IMO. Heck, what was there at the opening of FA wasn't THAT exciting IMO either.

Now. 1.) A whole bunch of NFL guys I respect have already gotten their chance to work with him and here he still was. Expectations are extremely low as everybody else's will be and should be, too. 2.) It changes next to nothing about what I'd like to see done in the draft for in the interior. Most fans probably will and probably should fall somewhere along those lines, too. 3.) He's coming off offseason knee surgery.
