Yelich could be an MVP candidate leaving Miami's ballpark and that isnt hyperbole IMO its common sense.

I'll just leave this here again: Christian Yelich's career 248 road games prorated over a 155 game season is .300avg, 0.373 OBP, 122 runs, 112 RBI, 25 HRs, and 24 SB.

His career home games prorated over a 155 game season is .280avg, .364 OBP, 112 runs, 73 RBI, 11 HR, 21 SB.

Those are staggering splits. If he just averages his career road numbers you're looking at an MVP candidate and that doesn't account for any Miller Park benefit.

I think its fair to say Yelich and even Cain will benefit from moving to Miller Park. Cain had 12 homers away last year and 3 at home, while hes not a huge power hitter he should hit 15-20 a year here for the next 2-3 years along with above average defense and good OBP. The top of our lineup is going to be very, very good.

The general prediction I'm going for is that you'll have a few guys who will play a bit worse this year than they did last year, and the rotation will be in flux here and there due to injuries and a lack of ability. But, they'll stay in it due primarily to their two biggest contributors: Yelich, who has a monster season that has him in the MVP race, and Hader, who gets shuffled into the rotation in June and becomes a bonafide #2 behind Anderson.

Brewers Predictions
Record: 84-78
Place In Divisional Standings: 3rd
Playoffs (Y/N): N
MVP Hitter: Christian Yelich
MVP Pitcher: Josh Hader
Most Pleasant Surprise (Position/Pitcher): Orlando Arcia/Jhoulys Chacin
Biggest Disappointment (Position/Pitcher): Eric Thames/Zach Davies
Are We Sellers or Buyers at the Deadline: Buyers

MLB Predictions

AL Playoff Teams: Yankees/Indians/Astros/Red Sox/Angels
NL Playoff Teams: Nationals/Cubs/Dodgers/Cardinals/Mets
ALCS: Yankees over Astros
NLCS: Cubs over Nationals
World Series: Yankees over Cubs
AL MVP: Giancarlo Stanton
NL MVP: Kris Bryant
AL Cy Young: Chris Sale
NL Cy Young: Noah Syndergaard
AL Rookie of the Year: Franklin Barreto
NL Rookie of the Year: Ronald Acuna

I think I had the hardest time narrowing it down to one pitcher to pick for biggest disappointment.

Brewers team record 86-76
Dan Plesac wins Rolaids Relief man, wait, wrong era.

Seriously I think they'll be competitive and fun to watch but won't have enough to make it to the playoffs. That said, I like Stearns and have confidence they'll get there under him eventually if not this season.

Go Brewers!

I also am banking on my faith in Stearns, but I think Counsell is going to face some pressure this year. If they plan to use Braun at 1B often, can't see having (3) 1B on the roster being beneficial. And juggling the OF is going to be interesting. In addition I have my concerns with the rotation. Hopefully they prove me wrong. But I would not be shocked if Anderson, Suter falter a bit. I don't know a ton about Chacin. Davies can be a crapshoot. We'll see.

In case anyone is curious, FiveThirtyEight's MLB Predictions site, which updates after every game, has the Brewers pegged to go 83-79 with a 34% chance of making the playoffs and a 14% chance of winning the Central Division and a 2% chance of winning the World Series.

MLB season starts in an hour and this will be locked up. LAST CHANCE!

81-81, no playoffs
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Alright, with the first game about to get underway, I'm officially locking this up. We'll bump this up at the end of the season to see how we did.
