One Hour Draft - Laimbeer Wins

This is one we've kicked around and I'd like to try and slip in as the Teammates draft winds down.

Draft rules:

Please read these rules carefully as this is different than anything I recall us doing.

1. Subject to the rules to be set out below, you will select players based on the current 2017-18 season.

2. The draft will take about one hour - eight teams, eight selections each, maximum 60 seconds to pick.

3. You will be required to draft a total of 8 players. Each of your players must play a minimum of 8 minutes in your rotations.

4. Each player you select must have played at least 50% of his team's games through Wednesday night.

5. Due to the relatively limited pool and quick pace, there will be no FGA limit.

6. We will be doing a modified snake draft. It will go like this: ABBABABA

7. Players will get 60 seconds to make their selection, beginning immediately after the prior pick. The clock on the first pick starts promptly at 9:00:00. You can't know exactly when the draft will come back around, so it will need your full attention. You will type your own picks on the spreadsheet as we go. I will black out a team's box on the spreadsheet if their 60 seconds expire. Once your pick is made you cannot change it under any circumstances, even if it is an illegal pick. Missed and illegal picks will be made up after the draft.

8. Draft order will be completely randomized.

11. The winner of the draft will be determined by rankings.

Team Roster Page Rules:

1. You will be responsible for creating a roster page for your fantasy team. Here are the things that you will be required to include on your roster page:

My bad, we committed to 9.

Last time I tried a rapid fire game the proposed time was on a weekend and got next to no response.

If we do another of these I'll probably give a few time slots on a weeknight and ask folks to indicate all they're able to make, and go with the one with the most people available.

EDIT: I'm not actually sure who the clear #8 player is this year.

I'm still hoping to get a straggler or two or some folks' schedules might break. I'll hold off and make the draft order a couple of hours before the draft. We'll leave sign ups open until 7:00 EST or so.
