I would trade our first, Portis and (anyone not named Dunn and Lauri) for Kawhi (if he somehow is angry at SA). He can even choose his next coach.

Eric Pincus was suggesting it'd take the Lakers parting with 2 1sts and possibly the Bulls 2nd to trade Deng, with them sending 5 mill in the deal as well.....

Assuming its a draft day trade, it'd be Cleveland's 1st and theirs next year.

I'd do it. It'd take up our cap space probably, but I'd like 1sts, especially depending on the protection of the following year pick.

What about trying to extract a C from the Heat?

I'm never sure how much they like Whiteside, if they do, maybe they want to extract value from Bam Adebayo.

Portis would be a perfect fit next to either. For Whiteside I'd also toss in our 1st and RoLo and filler.

There's no way I'd trade the Bulls 1st for Whiteside. I'm not even sure if his contract is seen as a positive around the league.

If Den stays Lakers can only sign omen max FA correct?

I thinks it’s a done deal that Paul George goes to LAL. But Ingram Kuzma and PG don’t fit well IMO especially w Randle at C.

If I’m the Lakers I look to trade Deng and one of Kuzma or Ingram for a good young player on a rookie contract to then sign your 2nd Big FA.

Pel's 1st then? The contract is only 2 more years.

With these Kawhi rumors swirling I wouldn't be shocked to see the Spurs move him. Bulls have to make an offer, but then again so will 28 other teams.

I think the Spurs are in a similar situation as the Bulls were with JB. I think Kawhi is due a super-max, and the Spurs don't have the talent around him to compete with GS.

Let's not. Please don't do this. We would lead the league in stupid that is for sure.

Just wanted to bounce this idea off you guys and kind of get a gauge on things.

10, 21, 39, 2019 SAC 2nd, and Bayless for 8

Would something like that work?

Depends on the timing of the trade. Is this happening on draft night when the 8th pick is up? Or is this happening before draft night?

Are you guys aiming for a certain player? Is that why the timing matters? Break down both for me, because I don’t think the timing would matter to the Sixers. They could do it before, or wait until draft night, whichever works better.

The Sixers also have a couple of young guys that could get worked in somehow if the Bulls wanted (Richaun Holmes, Timothy Luwawu-Cabbarot).

It depends who's on the board at 8, but if Bridges and Bamba are gone and I'm looking at Carter or one of the PG's, I'd do that trade in a second.

I'd do 10 or 8 if you took Felicio in that deal.

Probably not... but I have a feeling the top-10 board is gonna change a lot by the time June comes around. A lot of the promising prospects left the NCAA tourney early, and the scouts are gonna have a lot of hands-on work evaluating these guys. IMO Doncic/Bagley/Ayton are locks for the top-3... but Porter/Bamba/Carter/Sexton/Trae/Mikal/Jackson, these guys can float anywhere from 4-10.

Chicago really needs another cornerstone player, not role-players, so trading down is low on the list... even if it's 2 spots.

Which one of the Bridges boys are you looking at? And can’t take Felicio, as that ruins any chance at 35% max cap space.

I think majority is for Mikal B.

So would an offer of TLC, Holmes, 10, and 24 perhaps convince CHI fans to trade out of that 8th pick?

Hum. As sco said earlier, would need to be a draft night deal, and would depend on who is on the board at #8.

Throwing in TLC is enough for me to go from 8 to 10. I figure below guys are gone.

Ayton
Doncic
Bagley
JJJ
Bamba
Porter Jr
Bridges

So TLC + Young, Shai Gilgeous, Carter, plus 24 (that maybe we could package with Pels pick to move up) is good enough for me.
