Re: March Madness | NBA prospect watch
I'm fearing Loyola Chicago could blow their lead and lose, They might start feeling the pressure of the final 4 and if Kansas State gets it down to 1 possession game, Kstate might be more relaxed with nothing to lose. Too much time left.

Looks very good, defensively amazing, in attack considering this is Kansas St. with good defence this is equally impressive. Well done Loyola, well done, their shots are almost practice play material every single one of them

Re: March Madness | NBA prospect watch
The 2 easiest teams to watch in this NCAA tournament at least for me have definitely been UMBC and Loyola Chicago. I'm not into favorites winning. It's so much better to watch a game when the underdog is up on the favorite. NBA the last several years or so are always dominated by Cavs, Warriors, Spurs. NFL is always dominated by Patriots, Steelers, Seahawks.
If we can get an upset in the NBA playoffs than I be more interested. In the NFl if the patriots or steelers can drop off, I be more interested.

YA LOYOLA CHICAGO IN FINAL 4 !!! I like their players but now I have a favorite player on that team Marques Townes #5. Would love to see him on the Lakeland Magic team and maybe get up to the Orlando Magic team. They will have a very tough game against Michigan or Florida State. Michigan I think is a bigger program so maybe better for Loyola if they face Michigan?

I went to LUC and was surprised they even made the tournament. The basketball program wasn’t good when I went there but they were doing contruction on a new sports complex. Obviously it paid dividends.

Imo i think FS would be the better matchup for Loyola.
Michigan is the bigger program and has had a nicer season.

Re: March Madness | NBA prospect watch
They were just talking about the Loyola 63 championship team so I googled them to see who played on it. It is almost mind blowing when you read stuff like this...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1962%E2%80%9363_Loyola_Ramblers_men%27s_basketball_team
The 1962–63 Loyola Ramblers men's basketball team represented Loyola University Chicago. The head coach was George Ireland. The Ramblers were the 1963 NCAA Tournament Champions, defeating top-ranked and two-time defending champion Cincinnati Bearcats in a 60–58 overtime contest. The team was notable in that it broke the so-called "gentlemen's agreement" among coaches in which no more than two black players would be on the floor at one time (and in some road games, black players would have to rotate so that only one of them was playing at any given moment): the Ramblers would regularly have three or four black starters, paving the way for the 1965-66 Texas Western Miners men's basketball team who would finally put the "agreement" to rest and have an all-black starting five.

Re: March Madness | NBA prospect watch
Wow I googled the Alamodome because I thought it was the former home arena of the San Antonio Spurs but its a 64,000 seating capacity that can support football games. It makes sense now because the past final 4's have been played in a football stadium and I thought this year they were going to play the final 4 in the Spurs old arena or Spurs current arena.

In the early sixties there were very few major college teams anywhere that had two or three black players. And southern schools had no black players. Most southern majors were all white until the seventies.
I think Perry Wallace of Vanderbilt around 1968 became the first black player to play in the SEC. Kentucky had their first black player, Tom Payne, around 1972.
UMiss qualified for the NCAA tournament in 1962 or '63. The coach, Babe McCarthy, had to sneak the team out of the state to play in the tourney because the school officials didn't want the UMiss players playing against black athletes.
Times change.

Expect tech to have enough offense off turnovers
To make the game a coin flip at the end.
Their defense will be the strongest Nova has or would face.
I'm picking tech in the upset unless Mikal goes for 30

Texas gets them in a bad situation with high presing. Brunson gets the switch early and can go downhill against a big. Bad coaching...

Cavaliers should grab Mikal Bridges with the Brooklyn pick. Perfect fit schematically and he'd be ready to contribute immediately. Such a heady player with requisite skills and athleticism. I see the Andre Iguodala comparisons on some level.

Re: March Madness | NBA prospect watch
Outta time for tech. Poor rebounding and not enough offense. That has to be the lowest or close to the lowest numbers Mikal has put up in a long time and against a high level defense. Not sure how much that will impact his stock but it's an issue given most college defenses are not pro level.
