The Wizards are 6-2 without John Wall.

Tomas Satoransky is producing at an insane rate these last eight games.

We've sucked less over the past 8 games.

I remember Charles Johnson - he was fun to watch. He'd throw up these wild fade away 25 footers (before the 3 point shot), and when they went it, they seemed to change the momentum for the Bullets. Terrible shot selection but his energy was always there. Also, I think he was Phil Chenier's best friend.

40 years is a generation.

The number 40 is significant in the Bible. 40 years in the wilderness for the children of Israel.

The Wizards were Champions 40 years ago. That team was not even a 50-win team.

I'm just going to put this thread up there because right now the record is 0-0.

Why not champions in 2018?

Well, we still can steal home court from them in game 2

This is the Wizards positivity thread so here it goes.

The Wizards are not the Knicks
The Wizards are not the Kings
The Wizards are not the Suns

Boy, that felt great.

Seven is a lucky number(as well as a number of significance in the Bible. Read about the Walls of Jericho. 7 and 7*7 figure prominently). I just stopped at seven names that I don't see but I have POSITIVITY or positive feelings for, regardless.

Those who no longer post here might lurk once in a while. :D

One of my motives for this thread is to KEEP FOLKS LIKE Dat2U from leaving because of the CONSTANT NEGATIVITY THEY DERIVE in other threads. Not this one.

This is Glass Full or at LEAST Half Full. Positivity...

I remember a few of those posters that overlap my time here and they did add to the positive fabric of the board. I am old enough to remember when Googs and Cheney where the only thing we had to cheer for on the bullets. We had a bunch of fun but side show type of players like Bol, George M, Mugsy and others...then we had a few good years with Gil, AJ and tough juice...the melt down/gun gate...followed by the optimism of the WallStar years...which has turned into the Wall and Beal years. Look if we end up being the Raptors of DC...it would suck cause we never put anyone around our Kyle and Derozen...but at least we will be relevant and have a fun team to watch for a decade. BUT I’m not giving up on a ring...lets get that other superstar...like Boogie and see what we can do.

Gortat still puts up decent numbers but his defense has declined too much, he's hurting us out there nowadays. The man doesn't even bother to rotate om dribble penetration a great deal of the time anymore.

Mahinmi has just been plain bad and is collecting a check. Markieff has been terrible, looks slow and is as lazy as ever. Smith has been completely ineffective in the few minutes he's played this season. We've literally have gotten nothing from anyone on the roster taller than 6-9.

With that all being said when any of our bigs have been paired with the Wall/Beal/Otto/Oubre lineup the results have been great. This despite struggles from everyone at different points during the year.

A guy like Dewayne Dedmon would help. He's not special but he can defend & rebound. That might be enough. A 2nd round flyer on Nerlens Noel would be worth it if he can be had. He hasn't been great but the physical tools are there to fit perfectly.
Bump for 4 years later and I am still searching for that thread about Kirk Cousins and Boogie cousins
