Game Thread 03/25: Pacers vs. Heat

Post#1 » by boomershadow » Sun Mar 25, 2018 4:15 pm

The Pacers will look to add to that total when they square off with the surging Miami Heat (39-34) on Sunday evening at Bankers Life Fieldhouse for the fourth and final time of the regular season.

The Heat have won two of the three meetings between the teams, making Sunday's game vital for the Pacers (42-31) to force a second tiebreaker (conference record), should they finish with identical records.

Miami enters the 5:00 PM game having won three of its last four contests as they attempt to move up from the seventh seed in the standings.

And for those of you who might follow the radio broadcast like I sometimes do when I'm away from home, this is an exciting tidbit. I had heard about his fall and shattering a bone in his hip. Doesn't sound like an easy thing to come back from.

good tiebreaker info. we each have 18 conference losses. we have more conference wins meaning they have more conference games yet to play. we need this win. can't afford many home losses with tough road schedule left.

Good to hear that Slick is well enough to be up and around! Many times people of his age do not recover well at all from an injury such as his.

Domas tweaked ankle again warming up. Booker signing huge. Whiteside is out too so we'll face some small ball.

Anyone coming back from an ankle injury should wear ankle braces for a while, just in case.

Nice scramble by the Pacers and the layup by Thad, Lance does the power chord under the basket!

Early foul trouble for Myles and Booker. Gonna see Jefferson?

Very poor effort towards the end of the half. Dug yourself out of the hole, need to step on the gas early in the third and take control.

Let's hope he's fine, and they're keeping him out as a precaution! I really hope he didn't fully sprain it again.

They're saying Collison leads the NBA in 3 point percentage? I'd like to see him take another attempt or two per game.

Lance was acting like he might have hurt his ankle or foot, didn't run back on 2 plays before the time out but then he's back out there looking ok.

Olynyk travels/double dribbles three times in one play, no call. Oladipo drives to the basket and scores, is called for a travel on a normal step.

Pacers with 9! Count'em 9 turnovers in the 4th quarter, you don't deserve to win a game when you do that!!

OMG you cannot just take your lead arm and shove the defender right outta the way.

Couple of crummy calls near the end there.
