How is Steph definitely out for the 1st round when it's like a month away and his injury is supposed to be 3 weeks.

I love when people have a stat and then include the top names at the list, but don't bother to include other guys ie the Franchise (who exceeded all those numbers).
I would suspect Wade did as well.
You know who else is on that list? Michael Carter Williams.
Yup, those stats practically walk you right on into the HOF.
you cherry picked carter williams out of everyone on that list.

look aint nobody saying he gonna be a HOFER but it's a good sign for him. hes not this bum you guys claim him to be. he's gonna be good.

I didn't really cherry pick. The first two guys off the top of my head that probably had those stats were Francis and Wade (who I mentioned) and then I thought for a few moments about a good rebounding rookie pg on a crap team and MCW was the first name that I thought of. Basically what his stats show you is that he is a combo guard who is a + rebounder. I didn't look into it yet, but I would venture a guess that the efficiency numbers of the high end names on that list compared to DSjr would blow him out of the water. Also just as a general thought -- I semi-loathe these sorts of arbitrary stat clumps. Usually the name drops exceeded the would-be delineations by a fair margin. It's homerdom to the N'th.
Personally, I think Smith is going to be a fairly effective combo guard in the league. I likened him to Rose, someone who I think will peak early and be out of the league by 30 after making a few all-star games. Obviously that means I think that he doesn't suck. When all is said and done, I think he will be closer to MCW than MJ (and if I am wrong, I'll enjoy the show!)

Man I really want to root for okc but they fuqed up when they traded for melo. Would have been perfect with just pg and kept kanter. Now their fans are seeing what we witnessed all them years.

He's only 33 but he can't move out there and that ego has to change. He has to come off the bench.

He's starting to look like Jared Dudley with that retirement body

Yeah he’s been bad. Thankfully Adams has been an absolute beast.
Today they just couldn’t have both PG and Melo being this bad. 7-28 yeeshhh

If he ain't scoring he ain't doing anything else. Pretty much useless. This is a scary phase in his career.

Westbrook, Rose, Francis, Marbury were the comparisons (and if you wanted to get fanciful I heard a Kevin Johnson comp once upon a time). Where did you get Wall/CP3? Smith has never been accused of being a pass-oriented point guard.
Edit: If it makes you feel better, Russ was referred to as "Bustbrook" and "WestBrick" on this forum for a year or two.

a lot people compared him to wall and chris paul cause of their handles, size.. etc. smith is a score first guard but he also has vision. he led the ACC in assists last year. he had multiple games of 10+ assists and even triple doubles. i just don't see him falling out of the league by 30 cause his game is much more than "dunks" and "being flashy". that is why i was a big fan of him and still am. i think him being under a coach like rick carislie will do him wonders too.
i also wish we had a coach like rick mentoring frank..

At least the Knicks had the sense to cut bait with Melo. Two years too late but better late than never.

No doubt about Rick. I don't see the passer in him at all, if he proves me wrong, I'll be in line to eat crow. I think the way that Dennis plays is very dangerous. Westbrook right now is killing it at 29. How many years does he have left? Iverson got to 32 before he was an official shell at 33. Who the Mavs draft and pair with him will be very interesting.

Never seen Melo play worst than today. All open shots at that. Scary
