We're 4-15 since KP went down. Good for a pace of 1618 wins over the course of a full season. Fcat of the matter is, if tanking was your ultimate goal this year blame KP for going nuclear in the first 2 months of the season.... Even if we sold off Lee, KOQ, and Beas at the deadline what does that get us 1 extra loss over that time period? Most of the wins have come from standout Burke performances anyway... Teams got a head start on us tanking. It is what it is. Just hope we find a stud anywhere from 8-10.

Yeah we were most likely gonna win a handful of games no matter what by the end of the season. KP played like an MVP and carried us for a few weeks in the beginning.

I would blame management #1 though. We keep trying these stay competitive rebuilds. The Hardaway signing was pointless, and we have way too many vets. Wish we could take a more long term approach and had a plan. Accept that we are a bad team instead of trying to fake being a mediocre one

i hear that. i don't mind the tim signing, but i get it. some of it was remnants from phil tho, to be fair to perry. lee was already here. (i like him too and don't mind his guidance on a rebuilding team. i do get the conundrum of his presence requiring him to play minutes though.) noah was already here.

so far, i haven't seen perry do anything against his vision. even the mudiay gamble is the kind of chance i like to see. dude is trash, but was worth a look for the rest of his deal... even if as a reserve, he's a young one with time.

As far as Timmy, even if he works out it was probably still a bad idea just timing wise. Seemed like we should have waited to make a big signing if we weren't getting a star. But that's on Mills, and not Perry. Hard to say what Perry will do, but he def deserves some time since he hasn't even gotten an offseason yet. Hopefully he has a good plan/vision.

Agree we need a versatile 3 ... but so does 1/2 the league. Luka won't fall to 9th but he'd be ideal, he can push it and play PG. THJr and Frank are far better set shooters than step back chuckers (as most players are).

I still think Trey needs to increase their assist ratios, but if they can do that and become the starting PG then that leaves open the question of how to slot Frank, because it still seems the club is going to start Tim at SG. I want to develop Frank as a starter so I'm wondering now if Tim becomes our sixth man and not Trey.

If we stay at #8/#9, I don't think we have the opportunity to be picky about position. We need to take whoever we think is the best player whether its a G, wing or big. Really depends who's left as it could be slim pickings.

If Mikal is available I would jump on him so would agree with that premise. Best player could be a guard though if hes gone.

Is Frank getting torched by his defensive assignments?

Is Frank not already the best defender not named Porzingis?

Your posts about Frank are so embarrassingly bad.

lol. ok sure. hes Renaldo Balkman. wow look out. the kid needs to play 45 minutes to equate numbers real backups put up in 20. Your responses are so embarrassingly naive and completely from the view of blue and orange glasses. the one good thing he does doesnt make up for the 12 other things he doesnt. but ya. he plays good man to man and has long arms. look out NBA.

Burke was a great pickup, and is one of our best players but he still looks like a 6th man overall. It’s still a valuable role and we should keep him. Maybe he does become more. There’s really nobody on this roster I can pencil in as a really good starter minus KP.

In the meantime on this team I am all for Frank and Burke starting and getting a lot of minutes....let Troy free too.

Burke might be similar to a #15 pick in this years draft so that is a nice pick up. Williams and Kornet, mid-second rounder types.

You take it where you can get it.

I dont blame the players... I blame whoever made the decision not to blow up the team when KP went down.

I hear you but it's not like we've been winning games though. Before yesterday we were like 3-14 since KP got hurt and really we had no business winning yesterday but the Wizards were just terrible. Even if we take out those wins we would still only be what, tied for 7th or 8th right now?

You’re not going to lose them all, but those 4 wins move us from tied for 6th to 9th. Sucks b/c being in 5th would require losing out and one BKN win.

The wins are useless for this franchise, but the way Jeff is seeking them out is worse. Once again, he plants Frank on the bench in favor of a vet. This would be hilarious if it wasn’t so pathetic.

Maybe so. If there is a prime PG talent, then at least we'd have depth at that position for the first time in decades.

Not happening. If we draft SF this summer, the Knicks would slot Tim at SG and unless Frank comes in a totally different player next season, he'd be coming off the bench. It's sad but Titm is more of a shooter than Frank and Trey is more of a play maker than Frank. We clearly miss out on defense, but Frank's inability to create for himself or others and his tentativeness to become an offensive threat are such liabilities that the organization will feel compelled to bring him off the bench.

Since the Knicks have every intention on ruining their chances at Luka Doncic, I'm going to go to my SECOND hopeful player to become the newest NY Knick, Canadian kid Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Point Guard, Kentucky:

With NBA teams trying to do switches or any tactic necessary to create mismatches, I DO like the Phil Jackson positionless template of tall, athletic bodies with sick wing spans and ability to create, pass, drive rebound, and block. The TEAM beats the individual. Hence, a forest of guys who are 6'6" back court, 7' 3" forward is a good start to the foundation. If the Knicks are going to compete they will have to find an answer for 6'10' PGs like Ben Simmons with unparalleled vision over the court.

As for the game itself, a win helps with the team morale but otherwise there's very little to like about the win. Tim Hardaway Jr has proven to be Team President Steve Mills' team signature overpaying/bad contract that will keep the Knicks from fulling tanking and keep them in their 18th year of limbo. As starters, PG Trey Burke, SF Tim Hardaway Jr, and PF Michael Beasley are piss poor passers and really 3 cyclones for shots and loose balls. They are definitely proficient scorers but little else.

Frank Ntilikina may not have sexy offensive numbers but he DID give Bradley Beal fits.

Oh and kudos the Wizards, Ramon Sessions does have some life in his legs after all.

I don't project what Frank's offensive game will be and I think anyone who does is farting into the wind. It has been pointed out too many times that many of today's stars didn't even have the same numbers as Frank in their first season either. I believe the aggression will grow and he'll be fine, but I don't pretend it is a foregone conclusion either.

The positions on the roster will def be in flux because of some of these questions though. I just hope this club is wise enough to grow Frank, because to me he is as intriguing a talent as KP and I believe he could become a force.
