This group looks cooked, the starters, the bench, they just look overmatched in all facets of the game, and there's not a single guy stepping up to stop the tide.
John Wall may be back soon, but I doubt that's going to be enough, the Wizards look beaten and they play like a team that had its collective confidence zapped.
Expect much of the same against the Spurs, a big fat L and yet another home loss.
How many of those has it been now, 8 of the last 10? Ouch, I feel bad for the fans paying money to see this listless group perform at home.
I think the losing is for the best.
Bill and Ted... Bert and Ernie...Err, I mean Ernie Grunfeld and Ted Leonsis have earned this.
Signing Ramon Sessions it's just like last season. Adding another stale veteran who does not play defense is never the answer. Tim Frazier busted his ass for this team all year and broke his nose playing hard. In typical morale killing style the Wizards added Ramon Sessions. Go to the bench Tim Frazier. This is absolutely no different than last season when Satoransky virtually never played after they added Bogdanovic to lose next to Brandon Jennings.
These losses with Gortat and Mahinmi basically sitting on the bench in favor of Markieff Morris shows just how ineffective Ernie Grunfeld has been in team building. The salary between Jason Smith Marcin Gortat and Ian Mahinmi is an albatross. I think Dewayne Dedmon is better than all three. He earns less than all three.
I want them to keep losing at home so people stop buying Wizards tickets. Maybe Ted Leonsis will just give up and sell the damn team.
I really won't mind at this point.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.
