Miami currently beating Cleveland which is actually a really good development for us.

Philadelphia has a real good chance to be the 3rd seed real soon. Think they have the easiest or one of the easiest schedules till the rest of the year. They would clearly be a better matchup for us than would Cleveland. Will be really interesting to see what Indiana does for the rest of the season. They want to do their best to not play Cleveland while making the playoffs, they could possibly bump us up to the 5th seed as they have the hardest schedule left in the league.

So Indy theoretically had the hardest schedule in the league because they have two remaining games against Golden State. But with all the injuries, those may actually be easy wins for Indy. I think they will stay at the 5th seed.

Miami beating Cleveland is interesting for another reason also. Have you seen Miami's remaining schedule?

Chicago
Brooklyn
Atlanta
@Atlanta
@New York
OKC
Toronto

Are you kidding me? That is the easiest remaining schedule in the league. The only back to back is @Atlanta. And with the #1 seed locked up, Toronto will likely rest it's starters in that last game. Miami could easily win out. And they would actually win the tiebreaker with us because of division record.

The 7th seed is looking more and more likely. If Cleveland falls to the #4 seed, that would be the absolute ideal position for the Wizards heading into the playoffs!

CMC can’t be trusted in a blow-out?

Didn't even realize Keef did not miss. 7/7 from the field for the game.

Nice win considering Beal was still off. Beal and Sato had just seven points apiece but Kieff went 7 for 7 in 17 minutes and Otto went 6 for 7. Bench stepped up. Who would have thunk it? Sessions/Meeks had 25 combined points and eight combined assists to outscore starters.

Pretty much a yawner, which is what we needed. Now we need Cleveland to lose and somehow fall to 4th and to remain in sixth or fall to seventh.

Good win, but more importantly it looks like the concussion suffered by Kevin Love will probably ultimately cost the Cavs the 3rd seed giving the Wizards some reprieve as long as they manage to avoid slipping all the way to 8th.

Too bad that this is just one, among many quality wins that's ultimately devalued by losses to the bottom dwellers of the league.

This past weekend was really bad. I mean, had they won those two games, they'd be at 43 Ws with a shot to still get #3.

But yeah it seems staying in 6th is the best bet right now unless CLE can win more... the Sixers don't seem to be losing anytime soon.
