Been kinda doing a deep dive on possible 2nd founders and I’m intrigued by Kostja Mushidi. 6-5/220 with a 7’ wingspan.

I struggle with highlight reels, especially from European teams where I don’t really know how to gauge the competition. Terrance Ferguson probably has a nice highlight reel from this season but it doesn’t mean he was any good.

I laugh at the folks who knock on miles bridges because they feel he “didn’t take a big enough leap” his sophomore year. Like they expected him to be MJ or something. Every time I watch him he shows that he can play. People get too caught up in his wingspan not being massive or him not being some amazing ball handler. The dude can straight up play. Guys like Ayton, Bamba, and Bagley are way more of question marks to me than Miles is. He can help an nba team. He could help this team.

I wouldn’t hate Jevon Carter on this team. I think he can play off the ball and is one of the guys that drives players crazy with his constant on ball defense.

Saw a mock that had us taking Theo Pinson and Arnoldas Kulboka (the new AK? lol) w/ our second round picks. We have to hope Boston doesn't just completely fall off if we want their 2nd (protected 31-55). Boston currently has the 4th best record (47-23) with Portland (44-26) and us (43-29) trailing them. Adds some intrigue to our game vs. Boston on Tuesday.

Anyways, anyone have any ideas for 2nd round players we should be taking a look at? Arnoldas looks like he could be something in the NBA but I'd be shocked if he wasn't a stash. His body type reminds me of Corey Brewer but he looks like he has a 3-pt shot. He's 6'7/205 from what little I've seen. Just from watching his highlight videos, he looks fast as **** and maybe a hair longer than Brewer. His offensive game is really nice and I think there is defensive potential because of his length but he needs to get stronger for sure but his frame is rail thin. Just watch a few highlights and you'll see. Oh, and he just turned 20 in January.

Pinson, on the other hand, is a senior out of UNC and has all of the physical tools but will need to get quicker for the NBA. He's super smooth but I think he lacks that elite quick-twitch athleticism that lowers his ceiling a ton. But he was a locker room leader at UNC and he just makes timely plays and I think with the right conditioning he could be an interesting guard off the bench.

But here's the question, do you even take a guard in the 2nd round with Abrines and Ferguson still developing?

Count me in as very interested in Alkins, though it's been a minute since I've read up on draft boards. He looked like a useful player when I was reading up on/watching film of him last year.
