I was a couple rows behind Simmons back on that play and I could immediately tell Ben saw a needle to be threaded when Dario started sprinting.

Truly a special player.

If they can just get his elbow in over this summer, I have faith in that shot

Honestly it doesnt look fluid. Seems like he's just flicking them that I dont see him getting a consistently good arc with that shot consistently.

It seems as if Ben scoring less and and not really looking to shoot like that and looking to pass even more these past few games that we are scoring more points and seem more lethal.

You know what we need... we need someone with a lot of money and a high profile to say they will publically donate $10,000 to a children's hospital for every 3 pointer Ben Simmons makes between now and the end of the regular season.

It may even force Ben to start taking 3's for that reason alone if we are 20 points up in a game. It will be like the frostie giveaway with the crowd cheering him to shoot every time he has the ball and is open beyond the 3 point line. Need something to motivate him!

Well if it was in any way shape or form a good option for him, he wouldn't have 0 genuine 3 attempts on the season. The point might be that he could hit it if he wanted at a relatively low percentage, especially given teams are unlikely to consistently contest it, as opposed to the narrative that his shot is completely broken and he can't shoot 3's at all. I still think it's not a good idea to simply not shoot it at all, because even if you're shot is not where you want it to be, there is a mental confidence that builds from consistently taking 3's in NBA games and being able to hit some. It allows you to psychologically understand what you can do in a real game, especially if you know you can knock down uncontested 3's in practice.

It's in the bottom ten percent of jumpers in the league, its so trash. But... It goes in. Ben is an all time weird player.

PUBG PC or Mobile?

PC

He plays fairly often and is decent. I remember hearing that he wanted to be a Call of Duty pro if not for basketball.

It looks like James Harden's form with a mix of Lonzo Ball's flicking style.

Once Ben knows he’s a right handed shooter and starts shootings with his right hand he will shoot better. His free throw shooting right handed looks much better than left handed.

I'm glad my man's is on the introvert side. Quietly dominates like Tim Duncan, goes home and plays PUBG after some game film.

Imagine getting to sit with him and have a full convo for an hour or two. Probably has a lot of insight.

No clue why he's shooting 3's when its his mid range game he should be working on. But that probably wont matter even if he shoots 5,000 shots. During game he is too scared to take them. He has to realize how dangerous he could be if he had a reliable mid range jumper. I couldn't care less about the 3 ball.

funny how people think they know better than a guy and his coaches in an elite environment. you dont think he is working on his jumper because its not all over social media? you dont think he knows he becomes a superstar once he hits jumpers at an average clip?

just quietly I think he knows.

Last two years of basketballhe has taken 13 total 3pt shots. Made only 1. And in the nba I bet almost half his 3 attempts were half court heaves to end a quarter/half. Clearly you didn’t fully comprehend what you read. I never denied Ben not working on shooting: there are plenty of videos like the one we saw where he shoots. There are plenty of fans like yourself who get excited. Yet IN GAME he doesn’t bother taking what he practiced and applying it. Hence the problem. He is not confident with shooting and that goes back into his college career. But hey the excuse there was “who needs to shoot when u can score at the rim easily”.

Shoot the ball. He will never get to the next level of his career without shooting the ball. He can shoot them all day in practice, at home, pre game. But when tip off happens? Let’s see it. Hit or miss at least show people you are comfortable shooting the ball when it’s not in a calm setting by yourself.

Feels like he doesn't jump enough, elbow is out, he flicks it, not smooth, and therefore inconsistent.

Also, what's with the little bounce he does after every shot? That doesn't seem like something the best shooters do. They know the shot had good rhythm, and when they land it is sure footed and flat. Not this bouncy, almost like he is praying it goes in. If he needs to do that bounce to hit a shot, that won't hold up long term.

Not sure if he will eventually work on it (if he wants to be a top player in the world he needs to be able to take and hit long jump shots on a regular basis).

But if he continues to practice with this form, he will never get there. He has to adjust his shot.
