Emphasis on the playoff matchups quote about hiding your gameplan. Not giving up on this team in any way. They still have more talent than just about anyone in the east with Wall Beal Sato Oubre and Porter and the ability to play small ball lineups.

You play those 5 guys big minutes and whoever the hell you want at the 5, they are not losing to anyone in the east. Remember this statement.

Great! He should be good to go after working with WizD and relearning how to jump and land.

I don't always like his coaching but Scott Brooks is beyond a doubt a good dude.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

I really don't think team chemistry is a significant issue. Fulling and effectively meshing Wall's skills into the "everybody eats" ball the team has been playing may be a concern.

Is that what you're referring to? I'm not sure that goes under the heading of "team chemistry."
I don't think it's going to be a problem, either.

Agreed. It's really up to John. Will he have 100% confidence in his knee? How quickly can he find his basketball rhythm? Will he add the off-the-ball movement to his game? Will he cut back on the long 2's early in the shot clock?
I never questioned whether he will do the right thing. I question whether his body will allow him to defend at the right level.

Wall is going to be the best he knows how to be and he's always been the best player on the team.

I disagree.

You play those guys moderate minutes would let them execute at the end of games not being tired from playing big minutes.

Playing guys 40 and 45 minutes doesn't make a bit of sense to me. Mentally and physically guys make mistakes when they are over exerting. I would just rather see a full complement of players not leaving certain guys on the bench.

There are nights when Jodie Meeks can save the team's ass. Same with Mike Scott... The second game versus San Antonio Bradley Bill only needed to score 7 points... Guys like Meeks and Scott and even Sessions killed it. Playoffs should not be short rotations.

Wall and Beal try to jack shots at the end of the games when they are fatigued. I don't want them not fresh when Scott Brooks doesn't do anything but use isolation plays.

I agree with you on the talent assessment other than we don't have enough big people to deal with guys like LeBron or Giannis or Joel Embiid.

I don't expect much from the playoffs but it's not that they don't have the talent.

Scott and Meeks are net negative players. They shouldn’t play in the playoffs at all. The wizards have 3 guys that can play center, every other minute should be split up between Wall Beal Oubre Porter and Satoransky. This is just fine, no one has to play too much:

Wall Sato
Beal
Porter Oubre
Morris
Gortat Mahinmi

No one else should play unless it’s a small stint because of foul trouble or an exception type of situation

My problem with that set of players is that there are only two above average perimeter shooters on it -- Beal and Porter -- and both of them are starters. I think Scott and/or Meeks should (and will) get minutes in the playoffs.
