It really is kind of hard to explain. Both franchises have been around forever, same city, but Cubs fans far outweigh Sox fans. I can't figure it out either, but there's far more Cubbie blue floating around Northern Illinois than white and black

More Cubbie blue everywhere. If you head out to Colorado or Arizona half the stadium is Cubs fans.
Just last week in Cincinnati a couple of the Cubs players said it felt like a home game.
Even you a Brewer fan can remember just last year when about 55% of your stadium was Cub fans. Although that isn't the case anymore.

I went to a Cubs-Brewers game earlier this season and it was still around 65-35, but in the Brewers favor this time, something I haven't seen in awhile. Winning helps, but the Cubs have one of the biggest fan bases in professional sports.
