Uhhh so this **** boy Tyrone is the stupidest creature to come out of Atlanta. So you scam half a million out of financial aid at Howard University, but then blow that **** on designer bags, designer shoes, a **** mink coat, rravel everywhere, and couple that with a media team to document all your fraud.

A semester away from graduation as a law student.

What is wrong with Dragonball...? Just started watching Super, and the plot twist is hair color change? From gold to red to blue. That's what it took 20 years to come up with? Oh, Frieza's back? Make his new form a gold plate version of his old self. That's spicy. WTF?!

I was pretty nuts for DBZ until the end of the Cell saga. Buu was just more of the same, and dragged out too long for me. Their was no innovation or plot or character development. Just the same ole stuff.

GT tried some new stuff, and was mildly interesting, though I didn't follow much of it.

This new stuff though is ridiculous. Female Brolys.....not getting it done. Gold Frieza. Blue hair now.....ugh. No imagination at all. The new super stud, Jiren, is a bald, grey guy with weird eyes. Fascinating character design, really. Gripping.

I didn’t see how dbz could top frieza saga, but the Android saga outdid it. After that, I agree things kind of went down hill with the drawn out buu saga. DB Super does have its moments though.

Some anime gets better with age, but rarely anything goes over a decade gets better at all.

I'm thinking about trying to watch One Piece from szn 1 though lol

it's got over 1,000 episodes so I'm too overwhelmed :oops:

DBZ is legendary, but with some major flaws. Many of which I've already mentioned. What could be done is attempt to make it intriguing. Yeah, we want to see over the top fights. Wouldn't mind some semblance of a story. What is the end goal? Making a wish on some dragon balls? For such a major property there needs to be an intervention. Its a waste to let it be ridden into the ground.

You're right though, I remember being a total fanboy once I got to see the start of the Cell saga. That was next level goodness. For me, the series really comes down to everything up until the finish of that. I don't need to see anything else.

Those moments will probably be lost on me. I won't be able to get past the color coding changes as plot development. That reminds me of a movie I love though, Grandma's Boy. In that movie, one of the video game designers goes to the office of the inventor of the game they're working on and says it'd save a lot of time and effort if they just changed the color of a certain character of the game since they looked so similar to another character. That's what DBZ is doing. Just putting out content with little effort in maximizing its potential.

yeah that's usually a itstoolateforgetaboutit category for me but this is an anime lasted 1000+ episodes for a reason.

Jay suggested catching up earlier episodes with movies, but that's not my style. i will either go all in or stay out. very tempted.

Iggie, are you saying you haven't watched/read One Piece?

HWR, I'm pretty narrow in my anime preferences and was skeptical of OP at the beginning. However, after making it my downtime occupier when I first moved to Chicago and was jobless, I instantly got hooked. It has everything that DBZ doesn't have. It's exponentially better than just about everything else out there. Great character development, comedy (all the time), action, story, etc., etc.

Dont fix it if aint broken DoM. I guess they can do more prequels such as; The Saiyan world, Vegeta's father series of some sort, something that grasps how the Saiyan race was born etc.. (Not sure if they already made it lol)

This over the top nonsense with 10000 weird coloured characters is weird with stupid story lines.

I watched every anime episode during the month I was jobless in Chicago. My goal each day was to go to Binnie's, buy a new beer or two, and then go back to the apartment and watch One Piece. I slummed it up for a whole month, but it was worth it. Wife was overseas. No worries. Life was good.
