I wouldn't really blame Fultz for this. Yeah it's his head that Embiid knocked into, but Embiid fumbled the ball. He is so clumsy at times that he gets in his own way. Dude seriously needs more practice next year, so he actually knows the plays.

I'm not blaming Fultz

You literally said Fultz injured Embiid.

Initial x-rays were supposedly negative, which obviously doesn’t matter, but hopefully that means it’s not an extensive fracture and they just happened to miss it.

Only the Sixer medical staff can say everything is ok, then later we find out he has a fracture.

They are soooo pathetic and incompetent.

I'll be happy as long as he's back by that Cleveland game. If we can't beat the tankers row in advance of that without Joel we don't really deserve the 3 seed.

From what I've heard, there is a fracture of sorts and they are going over a treatment plan. Most likely out for at least the regular season. Playoffs also in jeopardy

Jason Terry and Joe Johnson required surgery for orbital fractures and only missed 5 and 6 games... First post and it seems like you're guessing based on reports of suspicion that have already been made.

The issue is swelling folks. As a medical professional. If (and this is guess at this point). If he does need surgery. They can’t operate till swelling goes down.

Look at say ACL tears which we are more familiar with. Some players don’t have surgery for 7-14 days cause of knee swelling.

Same with orbital fracture. His face is swollen. It could be 7-10 days if he does need an operation. And than it’s a race against the clock depending on the extent of the surgery. If it’s a bad fracture. It could be 3 weeks.

So worst case is embiid is out 7-10 days plus 3 weeks recovery. Sixers season may not have that time. I am talking worst case here.

I'm skeptical about bad players being exceptions, like there are a bunch of examples of better players returning sooner and then a few bad players taking longer. Did Tarence Kinsey and Etan Thomas miss that many games solely because of their injuries or because their teams didn't need them?

How it was reportedly described at the hospital makes it seem like it could be and nobody trusts our medical staff.

described? they just have to say if its fractured or not. its a yes or no answer. if they found out at the hospital its indeed a fracture, why wouldnt they tell us along with the info that hes not travelling with the team for the 2 game road trip? only answer is our medical staff is incompetent and management is lying all the time. if thats the case...how long is this bull tolerable? thats a professional sports team for gods sake :banghead:

Sixers gonna sixer. It's mindboggling we still don't really know whats up with him.

That said, Simmons better lead us to a win in Atlanta. It would be pathetic nit to after his joke.

Pompey, "However, Embiid might have suffered a fracture to the orbital bone of his left eye, sources said Thursday, adding his eye was kind of caved in."

Perhaps it was just how the swelling made it appear, but we don't know. We haven't seen him.

Most assumed, it just shouldn't be an injury as long as he was suggesting to recover from, even with surgery.
