I don’t even think that he’s a better player than Arden Key. In terms of pure talent, being a dominant edge rusher Key is a top 10 prospect. My only issue with Key has always been his overall commitment to football. Is he the next Glenn Coffee / Chris Borland? Or is he the next Darryl Washington; Justin Blackmon; or Josh Gordon? I don’t know!? There’s no info on him at all still... which is why I’m content on passing on him until the 5th round.

Another very talented player which I can’t trust. Unless we’re talking about the 7th round or as an UDFA signee:
Antonio Callaway - WR - Gators
The Jets put Florida WR Antonio Callaway through a private workout on Thursday.
Callaway needs one team to believe in him. The Florida receiver ran into to trouble on multiple occasions in college, but so many are fans of his talent when on the field. Finding that connection and trust with one team is important.

Derrius Guice - RB - Tigers
The Ravens are hosting LSU RB Derrius Guice on a visit Thursday.
The fit makes a ton of sense. Alex Collins outperformed expectations in 2017, but it is clear the Ravens are heading into the draft wanting to upgrade at running back. Guice is a top 10 talent in the eyes of Josh Norris and runs with power. He's been showcasing his pass catching ability during the draft process. He is in play for the No. 16 pick.

Connor Williams - T - Longhorns
Texas OL Connor Williams took reps at every spot along the offensive line during the school's pro day.
Williams recently played left tackle for Texas, but teams might view him as a guard prospect. And if team view him as a guard prospect, having the versatility to play center is important as well. He does not lose value by playing inside.

I've listened to a lot of the recent PFF podcasts about the draft, and they strongly prioritize play against the pass over play against the run. Their view is that Chubb is a versatile and well-rounded prospect, but he's more of a run defender than pass rusher, which they don't value highly at the end position.

I don’t understand their concept, but what I can say is this: if you liked what Derek Barnett brought to the table last year from a talent standpoint then you should also like Chubb. I’ve seen him chased and bring down Lamar Jackson several times (sacks) and that should be more than enough to convince anyone that he’s also a skilled pass rusher, not just simply a run defender. Plus you gotta love how he was able to get under the skin of Kelly Bryant. He has that alpha dog mentality to be the guy in your frontline:

Lamar Jackson - QB - Player
Louisville QB Lamar Jackson did not run a 40-yard-dash at his Pro Day.
Jackson also skipped the 40 at the Combine. On Thursday, he told NFL Network's Mike Mayock teams will have to rely on his film to see how fast he is. "Game speed is going to tell it all," Jackson said. "You’ve go to catch me first." Jackson declining to run should not seriously affect his draft stock -- as he said, the tape shows he is fast -- but not posting a time is another interesting decision in a pre-draft process the quarterback is navigating without an agent. Along those lines, teams are reportedly having trouble setting up meetings and workouts with Jackson.

I didn't like Derek Barnett, but I love Bradley Chubb. I was skeptical at first, but he just applies pressure too consistently for me not to like him.
However, Landry is the better end rusher. I'd be thrilled to have either one, but I'd rather have Chubb. He can beat you more ways.

Given what we have already on the DL, who would enhanced it more, Chubbs or Landry?

We desperately need an explosive pass rusher. I think Landry fits that bill better. He's the riskier pick, for sure, but I'm getting more and more comfortable with the idea of taking a shot on him at #9. And definitely if we were to trade back.

My opinion is that we need a speed rusher. We need someone to finally come off the edge, consistently to beat the T or at least create an opportunity for others.
I'm honest in saying that I haven't followed Chubbs nor Landry. After reading, speaking with individuals online, watching tape etc..., I'm more sold on Landry given with whom we have already. I see Landry I see a different aspect, a trait, speciality brought to the current defensive group. Where as with Chubbs, I don't see someone standing out from whom we have already.
Doesn't mean I'm right, Chubbs could blow up in the next level. Best to him, but using what I see and know, I like Landry to "fill in" that role. I see some redundancy with Chubbs in Solomon Thomas as Buckner was with Armstead(though Buckner was a clear upgrade which I was in favor for unlike that Armstead).
I thought Thomas last year had the great reviews and the all around type player praise. Well we see that he's not exactly the greatest of rushers(though lets see what happens in yr 2) so maybe with that history already, I feel less optimistic on Chubbs than I would with Landry.
and if he busts, he busts, wouldn't be the first.

Much as I'm warming to Landry at nine, I'd be furious with Davenport.

Courtland Sutton - WR - Mustangs
Per Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline, SMU WR Courtland Sutton "looked terrific" during Thursday's pro day drills.
"[Sutton] caught the ball very well and ran solid routes. He was also commended as coachable by teams in attendance," Pauline writes. The Dallas Cowboys put the 6-foot-3, 218-pounder through his paces in drills. In addition to the Cowboys, the Eagles, Saints and Ravens were all among the teams who sent reps to the SMU pro day. Pauline relays that Sutton met with the Titans "at length" following his workout. The wideout is arguably the top player at his position in this draft class and has done exactly what he's needed to do during the evaluating season to hold steady as a potential first-round selection for April's big show.

Same here. No projects in the first round. Don't want another Armstead.

Josh Allen - QB - Cowboys
Former NFL scout John Middlekauff reports that Wyoming QB Josh Allen scored a 37 on the Wonderlic exam at the NFL Scouting Combine
Middlekauff passed along the Wonderlic score for Allen and several other of the top quarterback prospects. According to the former scout, Josh Rosen received a 29 on his exam, with Sam Darnold (28) right on his heels, followed by Baker Mayfield (25). Lamar Jackson reportedly scored just 13 on the exam. It should be noted that while Wonderlic scores are good for headline fodder, there is no set benchmark on the exam for NFL purposes. We've seen quarterbacks find tremendous pro success despite outwardly poor scores -- Donovan McNabb reportedly scored just 14, Dan Marino just 16 -- and in the reverse, put together unremarkable careers despite high marks. Ryan Fitzpatrick is the standard-bearer for excellence on the exam, acing it with a score of 48 (it only grades up to 50), but has put together at best an average NFL career. Generally speaking, a score in the mid-20's is considered to be respectable.
