Nba draft & G League

Post#1 » by Aussienet3 » Fri Mar 30, 2018 6:50 am

Apoligies if there already is a thread. (please lock and merge) But I have a question.... By now we know Darius Bazley has decided to play in the G league instead of going to Syracuse. My question is Has the league discussed the option of players being able to enter the draft straight after high school but not being able to play with their drafted team until they spent 12 months else where developing their bodies and game?

It’s unprecedented so it’s hard to say.

This is a mess, so this kid is going to play in the G league and then enter the draft afterwards? This is ass backwards and Adam Silver needs to get on top of this. The NBA needs to stop coddling the corrupt NCAA and do the following:

1) do a away with the one and done rule. Upon completion of high school, players should be eligible to enter the NBA draft.

2) give every single team a d league affiliate and turn it into a genuine farm system ala Major League Baseball. If a player is on your d league affiliate's roster, he is eligible to be called up at any time, or be traded to another team like prospects in baseball.

I don't care one bit if the NBA causes a talent drain in the NCAAs. Who cares, half of those kids know that they are wasting their time and those student athlete scholarships can go towards kids who actually want to earn a degree.

Zion Williamson is big and strong enough to play in the NBA right now. the fact that he has to waste a year at Duke is silly. screw the NCAA. I bet once dudes start getting locked up over the bribery scandal, things will change quickly.
