Fortunately I missed this game.

I see the score was tied at halftime But Otto Porter went out injured. Detroit killed in the third quarter.

Beal had only one assist and six turnovers. He shot six for 17 FG.

Drummond obviously had the huge game with the 20/20. It reminded me of a board debate on whether the Wizards should have drafted Beal or Drummond. As much as Beal is generally playing very well Drummond has improved more.

This was a fluke because Reggie Jackson is finally healthy. I also think the Pistons are better without Blake Griffin in the lineup. So it was just a Wizards night to lose.

Agreed but they are missing one key ingredient. And playing Beal has no legs at this point in the season.
Porter's hurt as well.

Washington has played very poorly lately but when they first started with Everybody Eats they played terrific. They are very strange team. The interior is lacking but when they're hitting on all cylinders they can still beat anyone in the east.

I'm kind of glad they're playing funky now because the transition to Wall getting back into the lineup will help somewhat.

Were worn down. I think we should focus less on seeding and more on getting right and being healthy for the playoffs. It doesn't matter who we play. We can win against anyone, including Cleveland or we could lose to anyone, including Indiana or Boston without Kyrie. If were healthy though, I like our odds against everyone but Cleveland. Even then, it's likely a seven game series. People keep forgetting Cleveland is not the threat they've been the last few seasons.

What I'm afraid of however is Brooks and his penchant for having tunnel vision when it comes to playing guys heavy minutes. The last thing I want to see if Otto or Beal getting heavy minutes to finish the season. That would be just plain stupid.
Everything you just said.

This could be the time to be starting Meeks and Sessions with Mike Scott getting his minutes. The smartest thing they could do would be to have their starters fresh for the playoffs.

Gortat needs to sit out a few games too.

Of course that's reasonable but... What if they didn't make the playoffs? Lottery might not be a bad thing.

However, since Washington appears to have a closing window they need to make the playoffs now.

Beal looked gassed. If only we could rest him a game or two. Maybe we can if we need to tank? I wanna play Celts or Sixers in the 1st round.

Any further info on Porter's ankle?

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.
