I’m honestly fully on the Giles hype train and think he’ll be the starting center of the future. He could pair well with Randle too if he were to reach his potential.

It’s hype, debatable if he’s a C, but we could really use him to pan out. Really use it, it would be a big plus. But it’s theoretical at this point til he shows something

Yeah, absolutely. I can’t wait until Summer League. I think with his size and skill set he’d be the prototypical C of the future, like if Capela had some guard skills. The potential is there but we’ll see.

Its funny a Lakers fan friend of mine mentioned 2 years ago that Randle was like a hybrid between Randolph/Odom. I think thats a pretty good comparison. Hes certainly not the ball handler or shooter than Odom was, but hes a capable passer who averaged nearly 4 assists last year. Hes also much quicker and nimble than Randolph ever was.

The more I think about him, the more id love to grab him. Hes a bully ball guy, every team needs one. We have Giles, Skal, WCS, none of those guys project to be bruisers down low.

If I could have my dream scenario, we draft Porter JR, and sign Randle.

WCS/Giles
Randle/Skal
Porter Jr/Jackson
Bogdan/Hield
Fox/Mason

This is a team I could absolutely get behind. If Hield continues his play, I think he may be better in the starting lineup than Bogdan. Provides a shooter, then when we go to the bench Bogdan is there to be the primary playmaker. Either way this team has a ton of versatility, a few potential superstars, some really good role players and exciting as hell to watch.

I think only the most avid WCS supporters still consider him a starting option heading forward. IMO center is the team’s biggest need. I’d dream of Jordan, who I think might not get the years he wants in LA, or Noel on the cheap

IMO Small Forward is the teams biggest need this off-season.

It hurts to acknowledge this but I'm finally jumping off the WCS hype train. I agree a change at Center is needed.

It aint DJ tho. Too old.

I think there is a shot JJ works out. A shot. Certainly more than WCS. But I guess it depends on how you view Giles, or even Kosta.

I'm not sure how anyone can say that WCS has no chance to be a starter, and in the same sentence endorse signing Noel.

This is a player who has been injured multiple times, and benched on a bad team.

I truly fail to see what he brings that WCS doesn't other than unfamiliarity.

They are 6 months apart, similar frame, similar advanced stats/per36, similar limitations.

He's A better defender, but also a worse offensive player. I'm not convinced either is done growing as a player and they could separate from each other down the line, but right now nothing stands out to me with Noel to say let's dump WCS for him. Hes already put 3 years with the team and Noel seems to have a poor attitude and think he's a superstar.

Deandre clearly doesn't fit our timeline. Grabbing him would he overpaying another non game changing veteran whose soon to he past his prime. He will be 30 when the majority of our core is between 20-24.

I just hope WCS gets a chance to run without these old vets so he can prove this board wrong. When he rolls to the basket off a pick it's a true thing of beauty. Shame coach doesnt let him do that multiple times a game.

Why was Noel originally offered 4/70 by the Mavs and would anyone offer that to WCS? Noel’s situation is Dallas may have nothing to do with talent.

I can see the point on DJ, but I personally think he can play at a high level for several more.

He played 50 something games last year and averaged 9/6/1/1/1. I think mavs fans know they dodged a bullet with that one.

Orlando offered Biyombo 4/72, Mozgov and deng were paid insane amounts, doesn't mean any of those contracts were good ideas.

Hey the Kings signed Nigel Hayes! I'm always a little disappointed they don't draft these guys but they seem to always make it to the team somehow, lol. He's become a knockdown spot three point shooter in the G-league, if he can do that at the NBA level he can stick.

Also, I've been curious about what Kings board thinks about Bruno Caboclo. What do you guys think about him?

He's got the size and skill....but he isn't ready mentally. Maybe he can compete once he believes he belongs?

Ya he's not bad. He seems like he's about 2 years from being 2 years away

Bruno looked a little more confident in the last game. He's plays so little it's hard to get a grip on him to any real extent.

I think Caboclo's only real hope for sticking with the Kings next season is on a 2-way G-League contract. The Kings already have 12 guaranteed spots for next season. Add on to that a 1st round pick and (hopefully) a free agent addition, and we're already at 14. I just don't think he justifies using a roster spot when so few are available.
