World Series Champion Astros 2018 Game Thread

Post#1 » by RaoulDuke79 » Wed Mar 28, 2018 11:37 pm

Holy tits it feels so good to type that!

Season kicks off tomorrow with our good friends up in Arlington, so obviously not much to say about that except:

#BTSOOTR

Verlander vs Hamels should be a fun matchup, might have to sneak away from work for a bit to catch as much of it as I can. Sucks it's a day game, but I'm just excited to see them back in action!

Adding Cole and a full season with Verlander is pretty exciting. They already had a good rotation, now they could really be nasty. Just wait until Whitley makes his way up!

Go Astros!

Verlander, Good Dallas & Cole are a nice top 3 to have in your rotation.

Actually I think Lance is penciled in as the #3 starter, then Cole and World Series Hero Morton.

Not a bad fifth starter, Morton. I’m really happy he gets the home opener start after how awesome he was for us last year, and how he nailed down game seven. He’s forever a legend in my book.

They're showing a special on FS1 about the 2017 World Series. Good times, good memories...still can't believe how amazing that postseason was and in particular the WS.

Still can't believe they are the champs!

Now on to more pressing business: #BTSOOTR

Go Astros! Hoping Lance is on top of his game today.

Cole is our #4 starter.

I'll repeat that: Cole is our #4 starter...that seems unfair.

Six shutout innings from our #5 starter is okay I guess.

<3 Morton.

Geez, sloppy first inning. Pick off attempt thrown into CF, passed ball for a run, Lance not looking too sharp and already thrown 20 pitches...down 1-0 already, we're doomed!

Well damn, Lance got tore up today. Guess it’s a good thing I didn’t catch the game.

Panic! Season over!

Cole vs Cole tonight! I think our Cole is better than the Cole who didn't want to come here and chose Texas instead and missed out on become a World Series Champion. Oh well, his loss.

Good to see this guy is back as well:

Can he face the lesser Cole every game, please?
