in one door and out the other--Gallo back but

it's not just plantar soreness--Milos has a tear

The Clippers announced Friday that guard Milos Teodosic suffered a torn plantar fascia in his left foot and has been ruled out indefinitely.

The team said Teodosic will be reevaluated in two weeks. The NBA regular season ends April 11, meaning that Teodosic's next update will come right before the playoffs start.

This may be the worst season for injuries that a team has ever suffered. I’ve never seen anything like it. Almost every major rotation player has been out for a considerable amount of time- even DJ. This team would have won at least 50 games if completely healthy. What a shame.

We want the Lakers and Hornets to finish above Detroit so we can get a better pick. Although a loss for the Bucks means Detroit still have some hope for the 8th seed and might play harder, even without Blake.

Austin Rivers: 3 points on 1-8 shooting, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 turnovers, -15, still played 30 minutes.

It's time to stop making excuses for Austin. He just isn't very good. He managed to throw a pass tonight that was TOO HIGH for BOBAN... need I say more.

oh me oh my

brand new team [again] [Gallo in, Milos out] and the SG Austin had to play out of position at PG [again]

your narrative, LOL

yes, Austin had a crap shooting game and after starting 1-7, only shot one more time in the 2nd half

and Tobias played 36 minutes and shot 6-17

finger-pointing is bullspit
be hating on your own team
shame on you

Austin's defense has been ace, just like the Toronto game

Lillard: 5-16
McCollum: 6-15

your narrative, LOL

It's just getting sad at this point. The fact (not narrative) is that Austin got exposed once again when it was time to play a legit team. That is all.

Gotta love using Milos' injury as an excuse now when you've previously used Milos as your go-to scapegoat when Austin stinks up the court. Does Austin need Milos or is Milos holding him back? Can't have it both ways.

And the "playing out of position" card doesn't hold up to scrutiny either. Austin's "position" has always been whichever one allows Doc to give him the most possible minutes at any given time. He has always played at the 1, the 2 or the 3 depending on which position allows Doc to keep him on the court.

watch the game

For the millionth time, I do watch the games. That's where my opinions on Austin are coming from. You are just trying to dismiss any opinion that doesn't fit your narrative.

For the record: I also blame DJ and Doc. DJ, for getting exposed as usual against any opposing center with a modicum of talent. Doc, for waiting until we were down 20 in the 4th quarter to even attempt to make an adjustment.

Doc, Austin and DJ need to go. It gets increasingly obvious by the game.

you might now want to lament injuries on a game day with Portland. Their franchise history has been altered by injuries more then any other franchise

I absolutely watch the games. It's not my fault that Doc makes his son the main storyline of every game. It's another reason why they both need to leave: so the games can go back to being about winning and losing instead of Austin's minutes and stats.

Of course I enjoy the wins. The rest of our players work hard and deserve them. I actually like our team a lot, except for Doc, Austin, DJ and Wes. Milos and Boban are high on my list of favorite Clippers ever.

Give It Time

Post#16 » by Wammy Giveaway » Sat Mar 31, 2018 9:07 pm

Martin, why do you put the Clippers at such a high standard when you know that:

1. They've been losers for nearly 40 years.
2. It was the first time they've ever tasted relevancy.
3. Their circumstances of being a contender was due to David Stern's veto.

Ever since Donald Sterling purchased the team, the Clippers have been praying for quick fixes and lucky charms. Jerry West is here to teach them how the NBA really works. Give it some time. If they have to suffer being compared to the loser Clippers again, so be it. But don't expect them to turn into NBA champions overnight. The 76ers tanked for years, proving that The Process does work, even though it's painful. The Clippers are the victims of a 3-1 omen for crying out loud - they need to suffer a painful rebuild before they can compete again.

Sometimes, it takes a losing season to learn your lessons. Only then will the Clippers be better prepared to win.

Wow? Really? Milos is a nice player, but can't really see what he's done this season to be on any Clippers fans favorite Clippers ever. He hasn't done anything so extraordinary to be up there after just 45 games, but to each his own.

I think we'll see some changes next season, hopefully we can be more content with them, but there will always be something to complain about, so we'll see...

When is the last time this team was completely healthy though? What is that even?

12-13, Billups out most of the season, Blake injures ankle in the playoffs

13-14, Redick missed most of the season, Paul missed 15-20 games, Barnes missed like 20 games and Dudley played fat and injured the whole season.

14-15 Blake missed about 15 games, Jamal about 15-20 games, Paul in the playoffs which made a possible sweep become a 7 game loss

15-16, Blake missed most of the season, both Paul and Blake in the playoffs which wasted a chance at a hobbled Warriors and one of the deeper and the best defensive team the Clippers had in the Paul/Griffin era

16-17, last season, both Paul and Blake missed about 20 games and then Blake in the playoffs.

This season a lot of peripheral guys missed games, but compared to the previous teams that weren't as deep (except 13-14 at guard), it was basically the same impact on ability to win as those teams having the stars out. We should just consider it the norm  .

To each their own, but for me, Milos has been a joy to watch. The ball moves more when he's in the game. He's not selfish, he's not an overdribbler. He's always good for a few highlight-reel passes. And he's near-automatic as a catch-and-shoot guy. If his defense was even just average, he'd be my ideal point guard. Hopefully we will get to see a healthy Milos in a real offensive system next year.

That's fair, I like the guy too, but I just think for favorite Clipper ever honors a player will need to be on the team for more than 45 games. Favorite Clipper on the current team, of course, but you don't even get on my favorite Clippers ever list without at least 2 seasons unless you just have one magnificent single season.
