He's going to be great. I just hope next year's coach pairs him with Kemba. I think they could be lethal together. It would sell tickets that's for sure.

For real though, who would have thought that regular minutes and actually being incorporated into a role would lead to Monk playing better...

Its a shame our joke of a coaching staff spent most of the season focusing on fruitlessly building up MCW...

Also early on he was playing with Zeller, Kaminsky, Bacon and Graham the most. Batum was out so Lamb was starting. Frank was trash to start the year even after MCW was inserted into the backup unit. He was the only guy on the court who had a prayer of creating offense. That is a tough spot for a rookie on a team trying to win. No secondary ball handler help at times and lots a pressure. Now the pressure to win isn't there and he has help in Lamb and Frank. He has to be much more comfortable.

Just needs a healthy offseason. I cannot wait till we see him in summer league. Him and Bacon both.

What’s MCW’s season high?

I kind of feel like people here have earned it.

It will be even worse if Cliff is back next year.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Monk basically just repped the season totally freestyle since that ankle injury. Give him SL, training camp, preseason and a 2 or 3 years and dudes gonna be a consistent 15 to 20 ppg a game dude easily.

The one upside to him having a partial red shirt year is that he should be healthy going into the off season.

Monk seems like the exact kind of player that will light up the summer league even if his actual NBA future is uncertain. I was really bummed that he missed it last year. I think the league wide perception of his potential really took a hit from not getting a chance to showcase his skills in the summer. There are multiple top picks from last draft that had really poor seasons but are still considered future studs because they showed out in summer league and everyone got to see their potential. Monks poor regular season really stands out more than some of the others because its the only sample we have to look at besides college games.

So what though?

Do people really enjoy reading that ****? Feels like majority of posts on here is just saltiness / petty stupid stuff. It's obviously been a disappointing season but damn, could we at least try to have some form of constructive discussion?

What do you define as "constructive," a circle-jerk over how much of a letdown he's perceived to be? There are multiple pages of that already documented ITT.

Most if not all of my criticism was constructive throughout the season. And most of my concerns going into the season came to fruition. Hence the reason why we had a disappointing season. Poor coaching and overvalued players.

The frequent criticizing / mocking others or patting oneself on the back makes me want to stop checking this board. It comes across to me as petty and painful to read. I come around to read interesting takes on the team, not to see ego scoreboards.

But whatever, just me venting. If you folks are enjoying this, feel free to continue.
