Re: GT #76: Hornets @ Bullets 1 PM
A key game is going to be the one against Cleveland on April 5th. The way things are now, we are almost sure to finish with the 6th, 7th or 8th seed. It's not so much about our wins and losses, but it's about making sure Cleveland loses another game or two so that Philly finishes ahead of them. As long as Cleveland finishes 4th and we avoid 8th, we're in good shape.

I think we need to accept that John will shoot several more mid-range 2's than makes sense, but the overall good he does is more important than the bad. By this time in his career, his decision-making isn't going to change. He... is what he is, and Wiz need him come playoffs time.

I'm traveling in Europe until mid-April, meaning I missed the game & will miss all the rest of the regular season.
John's extra 2-point shots won't hurt as long as Porter/Beal/Scott can be counted on to produce 62 points from 38 shots.

Now we are pretty much looking at 6th, 7th, or 8th.
If Cleveland does not finish third it doesn't matter to me whether we finish sixth or seventh.
It is not a good idea to finish 8th because Toronto is 1st and is playing the best in the east. They will not lose in the first round.
Best cases the Wizards face Philly in the first round. They also have a chance to beat Boston in a series but I don't think they will.
I'm already mentally ready for a meaningless rest of the regular season and an early exit.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.
