We finish ninth in the tankings. A random team behind us wins the thing and pushes us back to tenth. Both Bridges off the board....

#10 and Noah to Blazers
For their first (mid 20’s) and Harkless?
Yezno? Hell no? Says who? The Blazers? Us?

Its funny cause we're so opposite the Spurs in every bad way possible, but there is a slightest of a possibility based on the rumor he wants to go to a big market.

Like the media always says players don't need big Markets, but what if the player in a gym rat introvert so they need all the help they can get?
i literally can’t think of a better player for nyc
We value work over flash
Combined with Kp it would be perfect

New York actually values any good results no matter the character. I remember well how everyone was ready to jump even on LeBron's dick. I love the player because he's a good kid. Hell stay in San Antonio.

I wanted him here since his Orlando days. Now he's not available and I'd actually prefer a rookie. I also wanted Turner as our full time PG with Melo. All that would have been cool, but they're older and I prefer picks.

I'd go get these guys somehow:

Terry Rozier
O'Neale
Looney
Randle

Still people wanting us to trade for Harkless but we don't need more average players on this team.

Mudiay
Russell
Hezonja
Winslow
Okafor

As our bench... We can have all of them for only 20M on short term deals... Lets get diamonds in a rough like we did with Burke and Williams

lol the funniest one is his love for Jabari, who tanks the Bucks whenever he's in the game.

Honestly, I think we could run a pretty good Knicks team if we crowdsourced these decisions. We'd pick 5 specific posters on this board. We'd ask them to build their championship team. Then we do the complete opposite of what they say. Instant championship probably.

-Trade Tim Hardaway Jr., Emmanuel Mudiay, Chi 2nd to Portland for 1st round pick, Al-Farouq Aminu & Mo Harkless during the Draft.
-Fire Jeff/Hire Fizdale

Draft:
Mikal Bridges at 7.
Lonnie Walker at 23.

Sign RFA Julius Randle - 3 years x 18m per.
Sign DeWayne Dedmon - 3 years x 8m per (player option)

2018-19 opening day roster...

G: Trey Burke | Frank Ntilikina (20)
G: Courtney Lee | Lonnie Walker (19)
F: Mikal Bridges | Moe Harkless
F: Julius Randle | Al-Farouq Aminu
C: Dewayne Dedmon | Kyle O'Quinn

--------
When KP returns: (Cut KOQ mins or trade him)

G: Trey Burke (26) | Frank Ntilikina (20)
G: Courtney Lee (33) | Lonnie Walker (19)
F: Mikal Bridges (22) | Moe Harkless (25)
F: Julius Randle (24) | Al-Farouq Aminu (28)
C: Kristaps Porzingis (23) | Dewayne Dedmon (29)

A healthy KP will bring that team to the playoffs, so no lottery, but a happy KP, and playoff experience. Upgrading the 1 and 2 in 2019 offseason will put us at the next level.

Trade question from a magic fan, would you do this:
NYK sends out:
-Ntilikina
-Noah
-this year's 1st round pick

NYK receives:
-Evan Fournier
-Magic 1st round pick this year

it depends on where the picks wind up doesn't it?

If its something where you guys wind up 5th or 6th and we wind up 7th or 8th...then no a couple spots isn't worth giving up on frank this early (for a swap of bad contracts). If its a chance to draft Luka then I might consider it...
B2B 2021-22 & 2022-23 BAF Champion Spurs:

Nic Claxton/Walker Kessler/Jeff Green
Nikola Jokic/Jonathan Kuminga/Dean Wade
Cam Johnson/Josh Hart/Kenrich Williams
Alex Caruso/Killian Hayes/Aaron Wiggins
Steph Curry/Delon Wright/DSJ

I'll bring this up again after the lottery, but for now, what if the scenario was the Knicks at 8 and the Magic at 4. Ayton, Luka, and JJJ off the board. We could potentially include a 2nd rounder or the OKC 2020 1st (top 20 protected) as a sweetener.

im sure you would have people on this board that would do it...to get bagley. I personally wouldn't.

I would take my chances with Frank and Mikal and build my team that way. Then take Bagley

That's fair. I'm dreaming of a Ntilikina-Shai-Isaac-Gordon core for the Magic. That defense with Biz at C would be absurd, and the core would be all solid catch-and-shoot 3 point shooters

If Lebron comes in NY

Bamba / Noah
Lebron / Beasley
Kawhi / Williams
Batum / Dotson
Ntilikina / Burke

Or

Porzingis / Noah / Hicks
Lebron / Beasley / Lance
Harris / Williams / Bonga
Doncic / Dotson / Baker
Ntilikina / Burke / Mudiay

Will we be contenders?

Trying to get a feel for what the Knicks are trying to do this off-season if some one or a few of you combined could let me know a detailed breakdown of what they’re likely to do this off-season.

My guesses would be no more long term deals, acquire as much youth/picks as possible and basically tank again next year.

You just capped us out... We don't need to pay money for a center... Hire Fiz, draft the best Bridges available. DONT BLOW CAP SPACE ON ROTATION PLAYERS. SAVE IT FOR SUPERSTARS WHO PLAY ABOVE THEIR PAY RATE.

You cannot win anything substantial if your players all play at or below their salary in a cap sport....

Welcome to the most delusional thread on the internet...

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but most of these plans aren't even possible. The BEST and only chance the Knicks have, GM Scott Perry aka "Madea (Tyler Perry)" strutting in those red pump stilettos seduces Vlade Divac and his friends in the Sacramento Kings Front Office to do a trade swap in order to move up and draft Luka Doncic. It's going to have to include future #1 picks and some talent but this is the point in the Knicks where they have to commit to KP and Ntilikina if they have ANY hope of

This is how the Celtics ALWAYS manage to pull of a heist. They have executives inside the organization of many teams. They orchestrate these trades with their former employees.

Knicks need Perry to capitalize because Mills hasn't really worked anywhere else (maybe a 7-11 in Indiana)...and NO ONE likes Dolan.

But knowing the Knicks, they'll repeat their mistake kind of how Donnie Walsh didn't have any clout or vision to move up, thus missed out on (Jordan Hill) Steph Curry and (Gallinari) Russell Westbrook.

Honestly we don't want to offer a pick swap next year where we don't have KP. With our present scouting crew, we really have not missed. If Frank has a strong sophomore campaign, I think we will be sitting pretty.
