Dude's a **** nutcase. Classic example of a well spoken person luring people in with fancy nonsense and dressing up his outdated ideas regarding intolerance and sexism. Dude's cried while analyzing movies like Frozen and Pinocchio because of some weird ideas on the tyrannical left or something. The weird thing is that his ideas were never right/left before. He used to mock extreme conservatism and those far-right types. But I guess he saw an income stream and took advantage of it by jumping into bed with those people. Dude's a millionaire now .

I think that's pretty much exactly what happened from what I can tell. I try to not to spend too much time on people like that but his name just keeps coming up and he's awful. You can find enough examples of reasonable things he's said, but you know most of it has odd/sinister underpinnings now. A good example is his monologues on personal responsibility and being the master of your own destiny, which is great, lots of good stuff there... but then you realize over time that his idea of personal responsibility is wrapped up in a denial of things like institutional and systemic racism/sexism and other things that hold people back that are largely out of their control. At the very least there is a limited acknowledgement of those things. The personal responsibility position has a long history rooted in bigotry.

I had to explain to my boss he wasn't going to be arrested for not using proper gender pronouns in every day life. Like there were no Thought Police ready to take him down once he was reported saying the wrong thing. The human right's law that now includes respecting people's gender identities has existed for a long time and has included things like religion, race, marital status, etc. There's nothing groundbreaking in the law's extension to gender identity and yet Jordan Peterson videos had him off the rails.

Haha thanks. I participate less when the atmosphere gets a little toxic. A couple annoying posters ruining this board right now and trying to open the dam of negativity. I'm all for good discussion on Raptors achievements and struggles but not the bickering we tend to do when things aren't going PERFECTLY. We're close to a 60 win season and people are acting like we should be tanking. Funny place.

Post All star teams are shooting 40% from 3 against us

Pre All Star team were shooting 34%

How much of that is us giving up more open shots vs teams being hotter?
